As Walter Cronkite passed on to that great newsroom in the sky, Time magazine released a poll naming a surprising new most trusted newscaster: Jon Stewart, of Comedy Central's The Daily Show.

I think Stewart totally deserves the title, he is the only hard hitting newscaster out there, even though he calls himself a fake newscaster. I actually went to his show and got to ask him what he thought about being given this title, he said that he thinks that you could have put any other name in place of his and it would have gotten the same amount of votes.
