Hey there Skileners, and fans! First of all, thanks for reading the fanfic. I apologize if there are any wrong grammars. Please tell me what you think! ^^
Marlene was busy arranging the flowers of her vase in her habitat. Someone came in unnoticed. “Good evening Marlene.” The unexpected guest greeted. The astonished Marlene turned around saying, “Skipper! You should really know how to knock.” The elite penguin leader smirked and went back to the opening of Marlene’s cave. “Knock, knock.” Skipper’s head popped up from the opening. “There, is that it?” Marlene rolled her eyes and chuckled. “Alright, so what brings you in my habitat?”
Skipper went towards Marlene, “There’s nothing much to do tonight. The boys are out.” “Where are they?” “Classified.” Skipper smirked again. “Oh come on, it’s not like I’ll tell the whole zoo. Please?” Marlene asked. “No.” “Please?” “No.” “Pretty please?” “No.” “Pleeease?” Skipper gave Marlene a ‘No’ look and finally gave in. “Alright, the boys are out for a walk, with their dates.”
“Heh, I guess it’s really nice of you to let them off for one night. I saw that they were really exhausted from your training for the past few weeks. They’re exhausted, but trained well.” Skipper smiled at Marlene’s compliment. Then he asked, “Do you want to go outside and hang out?”
“Sure, but where?” “Wanna go to the zooveneir shop?” “Sure!” Marlene answered with a grin. When they got there, Marlene pointed at the zoo’s newly acquired photo booth. The two of them headed for it. Flashes can be seen from the outside the zooveneir shop, but no one was around anyway. Well, except for Julien and Maurice. “Maurice! Why is there flashy-flashies in that building that has nothing to do with the royal me?” Julien exclaimed, pointing at the shop’s window. “Uh… someone’s fixing the lights?” was Maurice’s only answer. “Oh.” Said Julien, disappointed. And they left. Smart lemurs.
Laughs were heard as Marlene and Skipper got out. In a second, the picture was finished. Marlene picked it up and handed it to the lead penguin. “Look Skipper!” Four pictures were revealed. On the upper left was Marlene and Skipper with their funny faces. On the upper right was the two in their wacky poses, on the lower left was Skipper surprised by a little spider with Marlene laughing out loud. On the last picture was the two, just laughing.
“Haha, I wish we there was a copy of this-“ “OOF!” Marlene’s sentence was cut off the Skipper. He slipped off of a banana peel. “Are you alright Skipper?” Something fell on Skipper’s beak. He took it in his flippers. “I’m fine. Oh, and wish granted.” He said as he handed it to Marlene.
“Keep it. It’s yours.” Said Marlene as she returned it in his flippers. “Okay. So, wanna go for some hot snowzels?” The elite penguin asked as he kept the photo safe under his flippers. “What’s that?” Marlene asked curiously. “Only the best and tastiest treat in the world! It’s a mix of hotdogs, snow cones, and pretzels. The boys and I get some often.”
“Sounds delicious!” replied Marlene. “Then wait for me at the clock tower.” Skipper instructed. “Sure.” And both went on their own ways. Marlene stopped by the popcorn stand first and headed for the main entrance. By the time Skipper reached the tower, Marlene was reaching for something in what looked like a popcorn bag. “Marlene?”
