I didn't wanna get in the fandom, but the youtube clips were so funny so after watching the first two episodes already, I kept watching the rest of the episodes and I couldn't help but fall in love. :D posted over a year ago.

	glelsey picked INSTANTLY!: Pretty quick. I watch Lauren Faust on DeviantArt (though I've not been on there for a couple of years) but remember when she uploaded those drawings of the G1 ponies. At that point the idea of her directing a MLP cartoon was merely a rumour. I think it was actually on this website when I saw a few people with ponies in their icons and immediately recognized Faust's visual style. So I realized the rumours must have been true and decided to check out the first few episodes on YouTube. And after watching the first two or three episodes I realized it's probably my favourite cartoon since Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - another show Lauren Faust was involved in! It's difficult finding cartoons that have in-depth and realistic yet not stereotypical characters, so that alone made me love it. The storylines, humour, atmosphere and animation quality are bonuses. posted over a year ago.
