That said, I never thought she was in the first place! :) She has flaws and faults (some of which play a heavy role in the storyline of certain episodes) and as far as I know she's not based on the creator (or who the creator wishes she was). That's what "Mary-Sue" meant 10 years ago, at least! I really think people use the term too loosely these days.

Nope. She never was one at all. She still has her flaws and we have seen that despite being an alicorn, she's not invincible. 'Mary-Sue' is being used way too much and many times incorrectly. Basically, all what glelsey said.
