Lightning Dust is not bad, but Rainbow Dash will always be 20% cooler.

If you look at their personality traits more carefully, you'll see that Lightning Dust is basically Season 1 Dashie. Rainbow's character developed that much over the course of the show and it's a very good comparison they made in Wonderbolt Academy. I'd like to see more of Lightning Dust though; she could be a cool domestic antagonist.
