I think it's that she doesn't get good episodes, In the Flim Flam brothers episode it wasn't really an Applejack episode it was more of a Mane 6 and Apple family episode. I only like her as a side character because she doesn't get good episodes.

Well she's way better than Rarity. I can tell you that. I usually love cowgirls and I like Applejack, but she's uninteresting

This is a very interesting and a contradictional question. Although Applejack is one of my fave characters for some reason, I do realize that the writers did not give her any true chance for character development. I also know that she's the only character who's been transfered from G1 MLP, without any modificaton. There's been episodes which tried to focus on her, but it seems to me that her character has not imrpoved, or we did not get to see new sides of her personality, or weaknesses in most of those episodes. Of course there are some exeptions, such as The Running of the Leaves, The Last Round Up, or Applebuck Season (or something like that I can't remember right now, I'm drunk...)

It's true, she's the only pony from the 1980's series. I want more 80's ponies to return :(
