Definitely...but, she's not intended to be likable, and as a character she's an effective and significant foe for other ponies. She and Blueblood are my least favorites, but I don't hate them entirely.

Gilda was an all-around unpleasant, intolerant bully--but at least I can kind of sympathize with her simply wanting to hang out with her old friend, and being constantly irritated and interrupted.

^ I see no reason to justify Gilda's actions. Sure, she wanted to hang with her friend, Rainbow Dash, whom she was best friends with in flight school. That still doesn't justify her trying to cut all of RD's new friends out of the picture. That is just selfish and rude.

If she had wanted some time to hang out alone with RD, then she could've just said so. She didn't have to go complete overkill on the obsessiveness.

Also, she made fluttershy cry for "getting in her way." How can you POSSIBLY justify that?
