I'll admit, making Fluttershy cry is a hard thing to forgive, but I still somehow liked Gilda more than I disliked her. I WANTED to like her because she struck me as a cool character....and then I was disappointed that she and Dash had to part at the end because she wasn't ready to change. Plus, it's pretty easy to understand how she was feeling, and have SOME pity for her ('specially now that she doesn't get to hang out with her old friend and the other ponies...!)
I can sympathize with Gilda for just wanting to spend time with Rainbow, and constantly being annoyed by Pinkie. At the same time, she was overly mean, bullying, belittling, and judgmental from the start. And it would probably be a good idea at some point to be friendly to your old friend's new friends, in case you wind up becoming friends yourselves! ;p The way this one ended, there didn't seem to be tons of hope for that...but you never know. People (and griffons?) can change. And Fluttershy of all ponies would be willing to forgive just about anything. ;3;

... I actually cried too.
