brony for life

I hate the term pegasister. I am a girl brony and I would like to be called a brony. I hate the term because it sounds like it has to do with loving pegasi, while brony has to do with all ponies. I also hate it because brony was the original term and should be for both genders.

I'm a female fan, so I chose this. I like both terms. I am a brony--specifically, I'm a Pegasister. However, "brony" has always applied to both sexes. It's just that bronies are largely known for being males. Thus, we chose a word to denote the female fans. It's a clever term, I think, even though it does only refer to one race of pony.

The entire fandom consists of bronies. We females can also opt to call ourselves the Pegasisters if we like, and to identify our gender. ;)

I like both terms, pegasister and brony. However I think that brony can be just a gender-nutral term, and if someone for some reason required more specifics, pegasister could identify your gender more easily.

Short-but-sweet version:
Brony= Guys and Girls
Pegasister= Specifically Girls
It's easy as that.

I would prefer to be called a Bronette

I call myself a pegasister, and I'm extremely proud of it. :D

I think the show should be viewed by all no matter the age or gender. I'm really picky about the terms pegasister or brony both are fine to me.
