Part 3 starts when we turned 15, 2 years after we left and joined the animals...we'd made our own automail to replace the arm and leg we both lost and we'd used our old memories 2 cover them with human skin that could easily b peeled away from maintenance and such. The skin we covered them with has no nerves so we don't feel but they look more human then simple automail that's bare. After that we heard from somewhere that there was a way 2 get our bodies bak...and we went after it.
The Philosopher's Stone...we also heard there were 2 alchemists searching 4 it already....Ed and Al. We went after...

The word alchemy may derive from the Old French alquimie, which is from the Medieval Latin alchimia, and which is in turn from the Arabic al-kimia. This term itself is derived from the Ancient Greek chemeia or chemia with the addition of the Arabic definite article al- The ancient Greek word may have been derived from a version of the Egyptian name for Egypt, which was itself based on the Ancient Egyptian word kēme (hieroglyphic Khmi, black earth, as opposed to desert sand).
The word could also have originally derived from the Greek chumeia meaning "mixture" and referring to pharmaceutical...

The state of Amestris has reached it's closing article...and the shortest 1. Since Roy became king Ishvallins have been given their homeland bak and it's been re-built completely. Tht was only part 1.
All the borders have been re-established and the treaties made more livable for the other country. We've had no wars after the riots from the Amestris up-rising calmed. Scar was put in charge of teaching the old ways 2 the younger children along with a half-Ishvallan from Brigs. They seem 2 b doing their job well.
The border with Drachma was among the 1st treaties 2 b worked with. They were compliant...

The origin of Western alchemy may generally be traced to Hellenistic Egypt. The Hellenistic city of Alexandria was a center of Greek alchemical knowledge, and retained its preeminence through most of the Greek and Roman periods. Here, elements of technology, religion, mythology, and Greek philosophy, each with their own much longer histories, combined to form the earliest known records of alchemy in the West. Zosimos of Panopolis wrote the oldest known books on alchemy while Mary the Jewess is credited as being the first non-fictitious Western alchemist. They wrote in Greek and lived in Egypt...

In the eyes of a variety of esoteric and Hermetic practitioners, the heart of alchemy is spiritual. Transmutation of lead into gold is presented as an analogy for personal transmutation, purification, and perfection. This approach is often termed 'spiritual', 'esoteric', or 'internal' alchemy.
Early alchemists, such as Zosimos of Panopolis, highlight the spiritual nature of the alchemical quest, symbolic of a religious regeneration of the human soul. This approach continued in the Middle Ages, as metaphysical aspects, substances, physical states, and material processes were used as metaphors...

Homunculus (Latin for "Little Human", plural Homunculi) refers to the mythological concept of an artificially created human, presumably brought into existence by way of alchemy. Though a common concept, well known and understood by alchemists in Amestris, the idea of homunculi is regarded as no more than a farce or faraway fantasy as no individual or group of alchemists has come anywhere close to successfully creating such a being in officially recorded history. Even so, alchemists have been forbidden by the Amestrian government to attempt or research in the transmutation of humans and State...

I know you won't let go of me
You're my greatest faceless enemy
Though all you do is hurt me
I guess misery loves company...
And you won't let me leave you lonely....
Though sometimes you speak so soothingly....
I almost don't want you to leave me....
I'll suffer so very slowly....
Because you know just what to say to me.....
To keep me here, knowingly.
Because this is just the way it must be.

I have no choice
Because your voice...
It keeps me here...
So I can not fear.
The most difficult thing...
Is the ring ring in my ear...
Telling me to let go
That I don't belong here...
But I feel instantly drawn
To the bloody...
