Some States Push Back Against Stem Cell Research 

Not a bad article: very interesting. But I was a little appalled at the idea that science would need First Amendment protections. What boob came up with that idea? That's a distraction from the issue, and a totally wrong-headed way to present science, besides. Presenting science as speech can only lead to further limitations on scientific experimentation. The limitations on First Amendment rights are way more strict than limitations on science. The scientific community (and, more importantly, the lawyers representing them) need to work on explaining the scientific process and stressing how unfettered scientific inquiry has benefited mankind, rather than trying to classify the process as some kind of expression. Words almost fail me, I'm so disgusted at the idea.
