Hayley Westenra: OFFICIAL SITE 

Perhaps it is because I have been so particular about the music I've listened to over many years that spawns the following comment. Hayley Westenra has one of the more beautiful female voices I've heard, but it seems that her repertoire is a bit narrow. I have all of her music since she first started recording. But that is no particular feat, as there are not that many albums.

I am American, but my late wife was from South America, Colombia to be exact. So in addition to American tunes I acquired a love for the lyrical nature of Latin music. And I grew up enjoying much of the show tune music of composers like Rogers and Hammerstein. My wife and I also loved much of what Frank Lloyed Webber has written as well.

So I'm not sure why it is that Hayley has so few tunes available to buy for those of us who love her voice. My advice to her would be to record new songs for us. The world of music is quite broad. And there are many beautiful songs that Hayley has not as yet provided us the opportunity to buy. She just needs to spend some time selecting new ones she feels she would like to sing for us and we will be scrambling onto the Internet to buy them.
