Fitness-mad model who worked for Prada and L'Oreal dies from exhaustion

Super-fit Katerina Netolicka, who had worked for Prada, L\'Oreal, Elle and Harper\'s Bazaar, was found dead in the bath of her Czech Republic home on November 9 this year.

The 26-year-old\'s body was discovered by her brother, who had become worried when she did not answer his telephone calls.

Her two dogs were found dead next to her, according to unconfirmed reports at the time, leading to speculation that she had been poisoned by leaking gas.

However, police said the autopsy revealed the Czech model had not been murdered nor were there any substances in her body when she died.

A director of paramedics said 'her body was quite simply exhausted'

Instead, they confirmed she had been suffering from health complications of which she had not been aware of, and had been training too hard.

Director of paramedics Zdenek Schwarz, 51: "Her body was quite simply exhausted. It seems it was overburdened and we understand her heart simply stopped working.

"Yes it is more common in older people but unfortunately it happens also to young people."

Her coach Josef Bajko, 47, said: "She trained six times a week. She wanted to train also on the day she died but called me saying she felt too tired."

As well as her work as a model, Ms Netolicka was also a Czech kickboxing champion and was preparing for the world championship with a tough training regime when she died.

At the time of her death, her boyfriend, ice hockey player Jakub Petruzalek, was out of the country taking part in a match in Russia.

They had been dating for five years and lived together in the Czech town of Litvinov.
