"Chuck and Blair have been there since the first episode. You see them come together in the very end of the pilot, the second-to-last scene before the coda, and you feel the electricity of these two minds meeting and about to embark on a scheme together. We got them together in episode seven and we’ve really been telling that story since then.”

He was far from perfect, moody and distant at times, and burdened with sharp temper and an impulsiveness that was part of his dark nature. But she felt more love for him than she thought possible. He wasn’t perfect, but he was perfect for her.

Already got season 6 from Amazon. Won't be in stores until Tuesday. It was also $12 cheaper than in the stores. So happy I did the pre-order!

"Chuck is in the photo alone—everyone thinks it’s fabulous. Chuck, the self-made orphan on his thrown. It’s the Great American Myth. But he wishes there was someone else. He’s imagining the photo ten years into the future with Blair and the dog and mini-Chucks and Blairs.
—- Stephanie Savage, S4 Writers’ Notes
(They probably didn’t include that since it would be too much of an endgame hint and they still wanted to explore Blair/Dan (and have them crash and burn.)

But.. this is where they ended up. Chuck, Blair, Monkey (we didn’t see him but I assume he’s there somewhere.. as if Chuck would ever give him away), mini-Chuck.. and they’re probably going to have a mini-Blair someday."over a year ago
I miss Gossip Girl so bad it hurts! I miss Chair, the set photos, interviews, promos, Nate, Serena, Upper East Side and all of it! Gossip Girl should do a reunion show or a movie in a few years!over a year ago
Went on Amazon last night and pre-ordered season 6. It comes out in February. There may have only been 10 episodes and I may not have liked a good majority of them but I still feel the need to buy it for the collection.

Can't wait till S6 comes out on DVD, definitely having a Gossip Girl marathon. So excited to watching all of Chuck and Blair scenes from the beginning. They are perfect. ♥

"Every time we dressed Chuck, I thought it was important that his and Blair’s tones and patterns matched, or there are colors that coordinate between the two of them to match the story of their evolution together… One [big finale look] was definitely the “Chair,” the Chuck and Blair wedding.

I dressed Blair in an amazing blue dress from Elie Saab that was old Hollywood glamour meets contemporary minimalist. I feel like it embodied what Blair should be in her wedding dress. There were small little flowers embroidered all over this dress in the blue that reminded me of the peony color that she loves.over a year ago
Then we had Chuck’s tux custom-made by Martin Greenfield, which is this amazing suit manufacturer out in Long Island City. We had to wait until the very last minute, because I wanted his lapel and his bowtie to match the dress, but we didn’t have Blair in the dress yet. I really wanted them to have that link with their clothing along with the actual nuptials." —- Gossip Girl Style: Costume Designer Eric Daman Talks About Six Seasons Of Fashionover a year ago
When did you know that Chuck and Blair were endgame?
SS: I think it was a conversation up until the end of last season among all the writers. We wanted to write a season-five finale that would point us in the right direction. But for me and Josh Schwartz, we always felt that those guys were endgame for each other. Always.
What was the significance of Chuck and Blair naming their child Henry?
That was what Chuck renamed himself when he was shot.

Why was it important for you to show that Chuck and Blair had become parents? It seemed like the ultimate coming together of their union and their future. And wanting to see that Chuck and Blair could both be good parents… See the joy that that little boy brings to his grandparents. And you got to see a little mini-Chuck in a bowtie.over a year ago
TVLINE | Did you ever consider putting Dan and Blair together in the future? Um… nope! [Laughs] TVLINE | So it was always going to be Chuck and Blair? I don’t know about always, but certainly by the end of last season when we were writing our Season 5 finale. We had a sense of what the endgame of the characters were going to be. We knew what we were writing to in Season 6.over a year ago
I've been sitting here for the past 5 minutes trying to write something about Chair. And there's just no easy way to sum up these past six years. They've just had so many great moments. From "Are you sure?" to the infamous "Three words, eight letters" scene and just so many more. Their relationship has been one hell of an adventure. One I'm glad I got to watch unfold. I'm going to miss seeing them on my TV screen every Monday night. But I enjoyed every minute of watching it. It's been a pleasure

I LOVED THE SHOW! It was a great sendoff and I loved Kristen Bell's cameo too. That was awesome! I realize that comment probably should have went on the regular GG page but still. Chuck and Blair's wedding was so beautiful! Really going to miss the show!

I'll miss my babies so much, but i'm glad the show's ending next week, it's just not good anymore. Finally Chuck and Blair wil be happy...=D

I'll second that. It's time. I'm sad but then again I'm not. Chair looks like they're going to get their happy ending. It's what we've been waiting for for six seasons.over a year ago
I will always love Chair and I can’t believe that it’s all going to be over next week. I HATE the fact that we did not even get a full season, look at Grey’s Anatomy, DH, OTH?! They got atleast 8 seasons, and we could not even get a full season 6, what the hell?! I relly don’t want Gossip Girl to end. The thought of not seeing my Chair every week in new scenes makes me want to die, honestly!
Gossip Girl will forever be the best show ever!

Do you know something you're not sharing, Laura? Are you commenting because of the next episode or did you find out in some set of spoilers about the series finale?over a year ago
nope ...no new spoilers ... it's just that next week's gonna be intense you know ...and the promo left me in a puddle of tears ...I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left ... I get more emotional as we reach the finale ....over a year ago
Come on now...let's not go there yet. You know they're not going to get rid of Chuck here. We have to keep that faith the Chair wedding is still happening in the series finale.over a year ago
I know what you mean but Josh knows better than to not get Chair together for the series finale. There would be a HUGE revolt if that's not accomplished. Keep faith! Also if you want a support group, go up to the ranting thread. Laura and I were apparently the only ones recently using it but still. You have your support group there.over a year ago
That episode was a joke as far as Chair went...this was our episode 7! We were supposed to see something...anything positive would have been nice other than seeing Chuck telling her they can't be together. I know; it's not over yet but right now...

OK so what is up with that preview? Next week is episode 7! I'm worried when I see Chuck say that can't be together. I know; they just put that in to get people to tune in but regardless, it's episode 7. We should be(FINALLY) seeing some hot and heavy action again. We're being deprived! Keeping my fingers crossed it's a memorable episode 7...

Honestly, not much; they're still not technically together. Blair running her mom's company and Chuck trying to bring Bart down. Oh yeah and they barely kiss. Seriously the last 5 episodes better change things soon!over a year ago
Anybody else kind of getting fed up with these measly little kisses that Chair are sharing? I realize it's because they're not really together yet but honestly, this season isn't impressing me so far. Hopefully it starts soon.

omg! I'm in love with Blair right now...telling Dan to fuck of after finding out about the Derena sex tape!!!

Wednesday, 7th November we are going to celebrate the most iconic scene of Gossip Girl and even one of the most unforgetable scenes of TV History :)
"Schwartz: We’re very proud of the 100th episode, but my favorite scene has to be Chuck and Blair’s first moment in the back of the limo [during season one]. […] It’s moments like that when you say, “This is the show.” "

So did anyone see the episode last night? I've got a satellite that has CW from New York and the only thing they had on last night was coverage of Hurricane Sandy. If someone else saw it, can you let me know what happened?

Thank you! At least now I know why I didn't get the alert in my iTunes this morning. I bought the season pass for the season and it normally comes through really early in the morning.over a year ago
Who was in love with Chuck standing by Blair and helping her when she needed it? It was nice to see that Chuck trying to bring down his dad may have been on his mind too but Blair was more important than his dad.

A little but I blame it on all the spoilers...but what can you do when the writing is going downhill....I think Leighton and Ed did the best they could ...all the anticipation amde me forget about that! I'm just glad they are back and they will end up together ...over a year ago
I agree with you laurik, and i think that the actors are great because they still manage to deliver emotions with a terrible writing and ridiculous sl ( ex: 5x11 the pact with god). And i don't think leighton's acting were that bad.But i respect your opinionover a year ago
So is anybody watching the Gossip Girl reruns on Style? I noticed two things just now: 1) Monday, they are doing some sort of season 5 marathon on it with the last 10 episodes of the season. I'm assuming since new season starts Monday. It starts at like 5am central time. 2) On Wednesday instead of showing the next 3 episodes in season 2, they jump up and start showing the beginning of season 5. I'd rather watch season 2 again!

On a side note Gossip Girl won "Guiltiest TV Pleasure" Award from TUBEYs Awards :))))
For Season 5 it was hard to use the word "Pleasure" ...Like Chuck saying to Dan "Humphrey, never a pleasure" :)))) But it really made us feel "guilty" for keeping faith while these INSANE obstacles and LUDICROUS plot lines came over and over and felt like they never gonna end for 24 "DAMN" episodes till the very last minute. Thank god, its OVER!

Cosmic_Love: Can we expect an explosive Chuck and Blair reunion in the premiere after spending their summers apart? #GG
In a word: HELL YES. Sorry, was that two? I can tell you that the premiere will pick up with Chuck and Blair in a Monte Carlo Hotel Room. It will definitely be explosive and lots will be revealed. Just making sure you all caught that: Hotel. Room. Chuck. And. Blair. Does this make you tingle in all the right places, Chair fans?

Stephanie Savage: Chuck and Blair, of course is a huge storyline for us and something that was a little bit surprising. You know, they have no relationship in the book whatsoever. So that was really something that’s kind of unique to the series and I think a lot grew out of Ed and Leighton’s chemistry with each other and just the fun of writing scenes with those two characters.
Posted over a year ago
Amy Kaufman: It’s on of those classic, epic love stories. You don’t come upon those often either in movies or television, where the audience is so committed to their relationship.over a year ago
SS: We were terrified that episode where they get together and have sex in the limo was a very early episode and it was violating a lot of sort of the mythology of the books. So it was a big risk to go there.over a year ago
Josh Safran: I feel very close to the Season 2 arc of Chuck and Blair, and Chuck not being able to say ‘I love you’. It was hard for me to write those episodes without getting emotional. At the time and actually it still feels like sort of the biggest thing that you could do, like, Chuck really had to find that in himself and that was their hurdle that lasted 25 episodes. I wrote the first one where he wouldn’t say it and I wrote the last one of that season where he finally said it. That whole arc was the most meaningful to me.over a year ago
Stephanie Savage: Probably for me, Chuck and Blair’s scene in Gare du Nord in the Paris episode is one of my favorite scenes ever. I just thought it was um.. I’m getting a little emotional talking about it.over a year ago
Stephanie Savage: The image of them with the train station in the background as Chuck was about to leave forever and turn his back on his identity.. for me, that’s like, that’s everything of this show. That’s the fashion, the emotion, the long-term character arcs, the romance, the friendship.. because I ultimately do think that that was the big thing that came across in that scene. It wasn’t about did Blair think that she and Chuck were going to end up together.. it was just wanting him to come back, to be in her world.over a year ago

Question: Blair has been wearing a ring on a necklace in all the Gossip Girl location pictures this season. Any idea why? —Kayla Ausiello: I’m guessing it’s a symbol of the special pact she makes with Chuck in the premiere, but I could be wrong. (In case you’re wondering, said agreement involves them getting their personal crap together before committing to each other for good.)

Question: Gossip Girl fan here asking for scoop about anything Serena. What’s she up to when the season starts? —Raina Ausiello: She’s shagging dating this dude. Bonus scoop: Rufus is dating shagging [spoiler].over a year ago
oh it didn't copy over right when you copied it. For Serena shagging has a line through it and replaced with dating and Rufus is the opposite, Well, all I can say at least she's keeping the ring close to her heart. It would be nice for them to get their act together before being endgame.over a year ago
There's good news and bad news here, Gossip Girl fans. Let's start with the bad news, shall we? Chuck and Blair are not officially dating at the start of the sixth and final season. (Boo, hiss!) But the good news is they both aren't dating anyone else. At all. Why? Because they've agreed to focus on their individual needs first, so when they do officially get back together, nothing will stand in their way. In short, Chair is together, but not together at the same time.over a year ago
so it's pretty vague actually :/ idk ... something along the lines that they aren't officially together in the beginning, but we know for a fact that in the premiere we get a lot of cb scenes mostly flashbacks so they are talking and dealing with it ...maybe they just needed time to sort other things (Bart, Blair's new business) before going public with the relationship ...over a year ago
i don't believe a word kristin is saying. In season 5 she said DS werent going to sleep together, she said jenny and chuck won't hapen. It's like she doesn't know anything.I only trust the fans on set and pictures.over a year ago
That's exactly how I wanted their relationship at the start of S6. They are committed to each other but not officially together because they have a lot to deal with. I don't think you guys have to worry too much cause if there is a sex scene at the end of the third episode ... they will hit it off soon enough and be an actual couple.over a year ago
"Question: Do you remember something called Gossip Girl? How ’bout a spoiler? —Evelina
Ausiello: How ’bout a brain-teaser? When the season starts up, Dan is spending some QT far, far away from the Big Apple with a certain brunette... Georgina. Chuck and Blair, meanwhile, are in a, um, better place. Yeah, let’s go with that!

Has it really been that long?! And to think we had to suffer through DB kisses during that hiatus... XP Season 6 needs to send some serious Chair love our way :)over a year ago
The CW doesn’t currently have any plans to continue the world of Gossip Girl without the original cast, according to Pedowitz. “I believe shows that have a loyal core audience deserve a proper send off for both the network and the fans…[It’s] what we did for One Tree Hill, so we’ll do it again here for Gossip Girl.” Right, but how will it end?

Pedowitz teases a “big event”, but wouldn’t give details. Hmph. Just ‘fess up it’s a Chuck and Blair wedding already! (Fingers crossed on behalf of all the rabid Chair fans out there.over a year ago
yep ! this is super good news ! As for the 10 episodes, it was predictable since Kelly said it on twitter months ago. So did Chace. I was prepared for this but hoped they could change their minds ... (if the ratings in S5 weren't so low we could have had something like 13 I guess .... thank you Safran and your DB fail !) They better do things right !over a year ago
So the CW president announced today that there is only going to be 10 episodes of the show. First it was 11 now 10. I realize that's just 1 episode but still...they need to make these episodes count now that there are only 10 of them.
