Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
The One Color That Ashley Tisdale Won’t Dye Her Hair
Along with changing up her hair game and recording a single as one quarter of an all-girl supergroup, Ashley Tisdale has also just entered the fashion industry as the creative director of Signorelli. The Los Angeles-based brand is known for their edgy-cool (and comfy) graphic t-shirts that are totally in-line with the former Sharpay Evans’ signature off-screen style.
“I’ve been a big fan of Signorelli for a long time and also have been wanting to do a clothing line for three years,” Ashley said as she walked us through a preview of the Signorelli spring 2016 collection at the London Hotel in New York. See, everything fell into place when she met the brand’s cool girl(boss) CEO Meredith Garrett. “We are always on the same wavelength and when we met, it was a perfect match.”
The upcoming line includes slubby, slouchy and very L.A. graphic t-shirts that channel various themes that smart, busy, fun and all-around cool girls can relate to: “Let’s Brunch” and “You can never be overdressed or overeducated,” for example.
“We have a girlboss theme that runs through the shirts,” Ashley pointed out. “I love the whole woman empowerment thing that’s happening right now and I’m a girlboss myself and so is Meredith.” The two are so in sync that they’re already working on their fall 2016 collection together. “It’s a lot of layering,” she explained. “We also have pants and jackets, as well. It’s just been really exciting and fun to just be creative on the fashion side.”
It’s a wonder that Ashley is even able to fit a new career endeavor into her schedule, considering her diverse — and, yes, girlboss-y — portfolio of responsibilities, including prevailing as a triple threat on the big and small screens and running her own production company, Blondie Girl Productions, which produces the TV show
and her blog The Haute Mess. “It’s just it’s all about timing,” she shrugged about her impressive multi-tasking.
But Ashley has been too busy to visit one of the seven wonders of the world, even when she is in town for work. Luckily, she and Meredith could work a travel theme into the Signorelli spring collection. “Paris is one of my favorite places, but I’ve actually never been to the Eiffel Tower. I’ve always been close to it, but I [wanted] to save it for when I’m with someone important,” she explained. “Now I’m married and we need to go to Paris! It’s cool because we have all these t-shirts that represent Paris.”
Ashley also made sure to another one of her recent passions into the t-shirt motif mix. “ I’ve been into rosé recently and also changed my hair color rosé,” she said while pointing at the sassy shade of ginger. (Yes, we noticed.) “So we put some rosé part-ay in there.” But why did Ashley dye her hair the color of what we thought was Ariel-inspired (Disney and all), but actually is a trendy summer wine?
“I don’t know,” she laughed. “I thought it was fun and I’m always coloring it up. I’ll probably go back to blonde eventually, but this is just the theme right now. Had to put the theme on the t-shirt, [too.]” While, yes, the multi-hyphenate is a fan of changing her hair color like she changes outfits, there is a line. “Black,” Ashley said. “That’s actually one [color] I haven’t done, but don’t think I’ll ever go there.”
