I hope they stick to the comic book lore on this story and retconned like everything else they seem to being doing lately. Cupid is a Green Arrow (OQ) & Black Canary (DLL) storyline. Anything else will be a failure.

Because they stick to the comics so much in this show? Its not retconning the show is creating their own story and its own canon.

Oh please. Arrow has never been a rigidly faithful adaptation of the comics. Expecting it to be is the only failure here.

Why do I feel like opinion would be different if the comic storyline featured–say, Oliver falling in love with Felicity. I doubt there’d be quite so many “the show is creating its own canon, everything from the comics can’t make it in”

Because there’s only one subset of viewers just as unreasonable as comic geeks and those are ‘shippers. Both are equally exhausting.

Andrew Kreisberg might probably stick to his own creation while also doing whatever he wants.

I really didn’t like Cupid in the comics – at all. Hopefully, they’ll do a better job of it on the show. If we go by some of the things Amell said at comic-con, then Felicity better hide because she won’t only obsess over Arrow, but her too.

Okay, Oliver has a stalker as the Arrow? This’ll be at least a little funny…. until she starts killing people. LOL I mean, as Oliver Queen, I can expect it. There are a lot of women who are slightly unhinged like that. But borrowing a storyline from the comic like that is genius. At least as Arrow, he’s able to do something about it. LOL

I’m eagerly awaiting the conversation between Laurel and Felicity when this happens. Kinda like Sara and Felicity when the Huntress came back. He’s gone from psycho exes to psycho fans…

I guess Cupid is a better choice than the original Arrowette (Bonnie King).

This should be interesting. I’ve never seen Gumenick play full-on crazy before.

This sounds interesting. Can’t wait to see where this storyline goes. Will she be around for one episode or will her obsession grow over numerous episodes? So because she is in love with “the arrow” she will take it upon herself to shoot people with arrows? That will lead to some Oliver angst.

Another character to make things intriguing. Not sure where they will take the story, but I am sure it will be entertaining. I can already hear the snark that will hopefully come from Felicity at Arrow having an obsessed fan LOL. Either her snark or Roy’s!

I do hope that Arrow doesn’t overload with characters though! Looks like fun so far, but just so long as we don’t lose sight of our main characters of Oliver, Felicity and Diggle and their development. Roy’s too for that matter as his ended up on the cutting room floor. #parnoid LOL
