I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Stephen Amell makes us want to resurrect 'Battle of the Network Stars' | PopWatch | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Stephen Amell makes us want to resurrect \'Battle of the Network Stars\' (paging Mark Harmon) -- VIDEO
With three weeks until he starts filming season 3 of the CW’s
, Stephen Amell is hitting the gym hard, and we’re all reaping the benefits, really, as he continues to post his “Superhero Workout” videos on his Facebook page and YouTube channel. They involve slo-mo. So no, you’re not the only one seeing it that way. I checked.
producers must be both thrilled to have a star who works this hard — and who, fingers crossed, helps the stunt team score an Emmy nom – and nervous that he’ll injure himself. I’d make them watch the slo-mo jump into those mats in Workout #2 on loop if I ever need to torture them.
? Not with reality stars (or anyone who’d compete on any of the existing celeb reality competition series, sorry), but talented, likable actors with current shows who are good-humored enough to face off for charity. (Fans could back individual stars, with money going to the charity of the stars’ choice — does that help?)
back in the ’80s, join whichever Howard Cosell-type sports announcer is game to provide commentary.
I’d hope for a bit of controversy (and someone being half as cool as Telly Savalas).
Some stripping before the dunk tank (thank you, Tom Selleck).
Definitely a kayak relay (let’s use vet William Shatner as a poolside reporter).
And obviously a tug-of-war (Cosell literally called it a “miracle” and a “testimony to the equal rights amendment” that Tom Wopat led his CBS team, with three women on it, to a win over Harmon’s NBC squad in this epic 10-minute battle).
