"Downton Abbey" has brought its fifth season to a close, with three-hankie episode that saw (mostly) glad tidings and cheer for the Crawley family\'s Christmas season. Zap2it\'s recap of the episode can be found here, while below is our wish list for the upcoming Season 6.

Both Lady Mary and Lady Edith appeared to have a new love interest put into their paths for Season 6, so it would be lovely to see both of those come to fruition. Furthermore, it\'s about time Edith told Mary about Marigold (since Mary is ... pretty much the only one who doesn\'t know). Will Mary\'s heart grow three sizes in regards to her sister and perhaps not be a huge snob about Marigold? Fingers crossed.

Speaking of little Marigold, Lord Grantham finally told Edith that he knows about Marigold in a really lovely scene between the two of them. What would be even lovelier in Season 6 is if viewers get to see him interacting with his latest grandchild in the same way as he has done with George and Sybbie.

And oh, Sybbie. It looks as though Tom Branson is heading to America with his daughter. There\'s no word yet as to whether Allen Leech is officially leaving the show, but executive producer Gareth Neame does make it sound in this interview with Deadline like Branson is indeed gone to America, and Leech may only make guest-starring appearances. Sad.

Finally, there\'s been talk of Lily James leaving the show. It feels as though her storyline on "Downton" has come to an end, but it might be nice to see her once or twice in Season 6, to find out how things are going with Atticus and Lord Sinderby. James tells Zap2it she\'s very interested in coming back, so hopefully the writers find a way to have her visit.

Perhaps the most wonderful moment of the entire Season 5 finale was Mr. Carson proposing to Mrs. Hughes. He acts like it\'s solely because he wants to continue on with their retirement plans, but we all know it\'s also because he lurves her. If there isn\'t a beautiful Carson/Hughes wedding in Season 6 -- like if it happens off screen and they\'re married when the show returns -- that would be very upsetting.

Likewise, Anna and Bates seem to finally be able to put the Green ugliness behind them, and thank goodness for that, because what started out as an interesting storyline dragged on far too long. Now that it\'s finally put to bed, can the two of them please start on their adorable little Bates family?

Finally, let\'s maybe try to find some kind of happiness for Thomas, hmm? He\'s proven time and again that deep down, he\'s not a bad guy. It\'s his turn for a little cheer.
