True Blood Question

I already watch the show (and love it) and I was interested in reading the books as well but is it more mature then the show?

I read each book before the new season so I have only read the first two so far (it allows me to get my TrueBlood fix while its off the air). I would say that the maturity level is about the same. Bill & Sookie do seem to have slightly more sex in the book, but that would be all. I suggest reading the books, there is a lot of detail in the book and some different and exciting situations.

i have read up the the 4th and a scene in that is pretty explicit, but I feel the show is a little more racy...jason isn't in the book as much and most of the sex scenes in the show are his.

I've always thought the books were pretty mild compared to the tv series.

Yes, they do have alot of sex in them but its handled pretty vaguely after the 'set up' explicits take place. Its always like "an hour later after....." or "the next morning" she rarely follows through with the entire specifics but its safe to say what has been implied. There are a few exceptions to this though, Eric's moments of pleasure in book 4 and the pounding she took in the first book from Bill are pretty.....intense (and those are the only ones off the top of my head).
