Was it just me...or did anyone else catch a "vibe" going on between Goderic and Sookie right before he "met the sun"? And do you think Alan Ball could have taken the Goderic/Sookie "thing" to another level? Think about it... Goderic... Bill...Eric..
Ummm...Godric is gay you know, and he killed children, Sookie would never give up her beliefs enough to be OK with Godric she just felt grateful to him for saving her life

that must be from the books? did not know about the gay or killing children part...Good to know!
Nope in the books Eric's maker was named Appius(no idea if I spelt that right), and I went back to the books and checked and Godric was deffinatly a child molester and killer but they never did say that he was gay
No. He was always a very "short term" character that was basically introduced as a plot point and a means for Eric to have an emotional storyline. Kinda like Eddie last year, the guy was terrific, but he basically served as character developer for Jason in the end.
and he's not necessarily gay (thats the book version) either. Most vampires are essentially pansexual by nature (atleast in Charlaine Harris, and Anne Rice adaptations) but there are a few like Eddie, who were gay before and still continue with that preference.

I always got the impression that he was gay, but I believe you, thanks for clearing that up
Yeah, I mean they didn't really explore it, but obviously he has some homoerotic tendencies (he turned Eric afterall) but he's probably like most non-preferential a.k.a 'pansexual.
Look every girl likes to be appreciated but enoughs enough. Sam and Eric both want her but she wants Bill. Godric is not a nice vampire and yeah ok i get what he did for sookie but she would never have been able to accept what he did in the past. So no that "relationship" was going no where.

What about what Bill did in his past? besides a huge list of bad things he's done in the books, we've also SEEN him on the show torturing a young couple and then having sex right next to her as she lies there dying. I'm sure Sookie woudn't be to pleased about that.
Also, not that I'm defending a Godric/Sookie relationship (which would be odd looking to say the least) but I think you are referring to the book version, since the show never depicted him as a murderous pedophile.
