I KNEW IT.. NOT TO SAY I KNOW EVERTHING. PPLS ARE SAYING THT THERES ONLY ONE MORE BOOK OF VAMPIRE DIRIES.. BUT NO HERE IS THE LINK WHERE THE DIRECTOR TELLS HUNDREDS OF PPLS THAT THERES 6 BOOKS..AND SAID IT INFRON OF L.J SMITH AND SHE NODED ..

As listed on the official TVD site, the books are The Awakening, The Struggle, The Fury, Dark Reunion, The Return: Nightfall, THe Return: Shadow Souls have already been released there is to be only ONE MORE BOOK(!) The Return: Midnight. Just like what Sunbathe said, it's a triology, meaning only THREE books. Midnight is the last one.
