i hate also what they did to raoul!

Great music and so on, but what they did with all the original characters is unforgivable.

i HATE love never dies! in phantom, we all wanted Christine to stay with the phantom but it ended there. they ruined all of the characters especially Raoul and Christine. I get queasy whenever i think abot LND. Stick to the amazing classic Phantom Of The Opera!!!:):):)

I didn't see the play, but I like some of the music. The storyline though and what they did to the characters sounds lame. Especially what they did to Raoul and killing Christine at the end? So wrong!

I can't say I hated it... I mean I saw it and I loved it.. Ramin makes everything better :P but the scenery in London was brilliant and the cast there too was great.. Most of the music is good if it is not related to PotO.. It is very different to that and I have needed time for it to grow on with the exception of Til I Hear You Sing which I obviously loved from the get go...
But the whole basis of the musical is terrible.. I hated the book, but at least Raoul was a good husband and it was a third party that is evil.. Then the original story for the musical is worse, obviously three much loved characters virtually destroyed in seconds.. the story is overall stupid.. but at least the flow made sense and I loved that it had a similar start to Phantom where it goes back in time after the overture.. But then it was revised and I don't know why the hell it was because it was made worse, there's someone else getting Christine over to sing and the Phantom blackmailing her and some of the fun songs taken out... . . . and then there's the Australian one... I am ashamed to be Australian... really.. I have been very lucky when I first saw Phantom in London it was Ramin and then I saw him in this and he is such an amazing actor I can't describe it... But this guy.. Even though the Phantom isn't really used to being around people he still had this air of confidence about him, this guy looks awkward all the time.. ALW says in the bonus stuff on the DVD that this gives them the opportunity to really show emotion because it's close up, Ben Lewis did not show any.. I think recording the London one before it closed would have been a better idea..
So just okay because I love the music and I listen to the CD quite a bit and just ignore the stupid story line underneath...

I LOVED IT!!! it is the only musical i've ever seen twice, and i've seen nearly 15, and i have only just turned 11. the second time i saw it, at the end i cried and a lady gave me some flowers to throw to the cast. i live in melbourne, and mine landed at sharon millercip''s (meg) feet. she picked it up when she walked away and i was thrilled. after the show, i got all of their autographs and photos with, three of the gustaves,(george, kurtis and lachlann), raoul(simon gleeson) christine (anna o'byrne) phantom (ben lewis) meg and madame giry( maria mercedes). it was BRILLIANT.

Had some moving songs. But math was a little off, and also circumstance was off. the latter meaning that how could Erik escape even with the help of Mme. Giry and Meg it is impossible and other such circumstance... also good job ALW, you raise the hopes of all the Phans - "Oh look Christine and Erik are finally together at long las-" NOPE *Gunshot by non other than Christine's best friend herself out insane jealousy and phantom necrophilia (almost) Lust* *Christine DEAD* *Phans die out of pain*
