First the movie, now the live stage shows, I love the Phantom of the Opera. :-)

I have such I weird history with the 2004 film, its is technically the first thing I saw of phantom but it didn't get me into the 'phandom' because I didn't like how it ended (sorry, I didn't know anything) and at the time I didn't get why people liked phantom, then I saw the Lon Chaney film and I LOVED IT <3 (I kept wanting to watch it) that movie also taught me the phantom's name Erik! Then Michael came, and I heard his voice (I still wasn't connecting the songs Michael sang w/ the 2004 I guess I purged it from my memory banks) then I finally saw 25th anniversary, sadly I have never seen phantom live, its not playing in So-Cal darn it!

It all began for me with the OLC recording when I was about 6, and I just fell in love with it and annoyed my entire family with it (and still do for that matter, hehe). Technically, the movie was the first time that I saw it and could put together the whole story of it, but even so I was so disappointed with the movie. And now I have read the book, seen various movie versions and been to London twice to see it live..

i first saw it when i was little and then wanted to see the broadway versions cause its sounded better and heck if it wasn't i will always like the broadway versions

Hard to explain. My family got me tickets and i saw the movie before i went to see the musical. So yeah the movie technically.

Well, my mom and sister saw the stage version, but I was too little at the time, so yeah the 2004 movie. Knowing how much my mom and sister had loved seeing it live, I decided to give the 2004 movie a try and bought the DVD. Fell in love with it. From then I've been obsessed with everything Phantom. Still love the movie, but after seeing the live at royal albert hall stage version on dvd, I love that even more! :-)
