The Phantom Of The Opera Question

Okay, I doubt anyone will know this, but I heard that there was a version of Phantom of the Opera where Erik didn't have a deformity and...put rats in his pants (I can't even type that with a straight face). Does anyone know what it is?

Yeah, I heard that on a forum somewhere...

Yes, this is true! LOL! It's called like le fantasma de l' opera or something...I dunno if I spelled that right. Julian Sands stars as the Phantom in it. I think it was made in 1998. And yes...he has an obsession with rats...:x

^ That would be the link to download this movie if anyone wants it. WARNING: There's gratuitous violence, blood, sex, nudity (of they scary old fat guys in a Turkish bath variety), and really bad acting

Yes, yes he does. And to make it even better he apparently has random psychic and telekenetic powers. Not quite sure why. I also wouldn't watch this version if you have a weak stomach. It puts the Robert Englund version to serious shame in random acts of gruesome and bloody violence.

Worst Phantom movie ever! At least the Robert Englund version made sense and had good music. If you are at all disturbed by gore or sex, I would not at all reccomend that you watch this version.
Also, no, the phantom has no deformity but his gross, greasy wig (WIG WIG WIG!) was easily bad enough.

Julian Sands refused to wear deformity makeup or a mask. He's apparently a prettyboy idiot

It's called Dario Argento's Phantom of the opera (I own it on dvd) it's pretty mad lol the phantom is played by Julian Sands and he believes himself to be a rat, When he was a baby his parents abandoned him and it was rats that brought him up. Itbh it's one of those movies that's only good to watch once lol but it is worth a look :)

Yes, there is a movie, as Cyanide has said, called La Fantasma del L'opera. It was produced in 1998 (I believe) with Asia Argento as Christine and Julian Sands as Erik. Erik has been abandoned as a baby, and was brought up by telepathic rats, and he can telepathically connect to Christine's mind. And yes, he doesn't have a deformity, which is quite stupid on Dario Argento's part. This is one of the movies based on the Phantom that I would not recommend.
