The Phantom Of The Opera Question

Phantom, the Las Vegas spectacular.

Hey guys, I'll be making a trip to Las Vegas in February and I thought I'd see Phantom. After reading that the show has been shortened and musical numbers changed, I'm wondering if it's worth it. Are the cuts big? Should I still see it?

maybe not. looking at the other comments and seeing that it's only 90 minutes? My local high school put it on (fantastically i might say so myself) and it was over two hours long with an intermission. maybe you can decide off of that idk thats ur choice

The cuts are not substantial. I haven't seen the show live, but I have a couple of bootlegs. They've cut Magical Lasso, and moved the chandelier crash. Other than that the cuts are light, usually one or two lines. If nothing else, you should absolutely go see it for the awesomeness that is the reassembling of the chandelier during the Overture.

I've seen the show, and you should see it. The chandelier and remake opera house are awesome. But, if you're a diehard fan of the original, you'll notice the few things that they cut out, like a few lines from "Seal My Fate", and a few others here and there. There's no intermisson, and it's only 90 minutes, so it does fly pretty quickly. But if you like glitz, it's for you. I hoped this helped!
