Great episode
Also, I kinda loved Guy. Hope that Crowley doesn't do away with him permanently. I'd like to see more of him. Loved how he asked for Dean's autograph and Dean said he'd carve it in his spleen. XD
Oh and Crowley is looking both ragged and sexy these days.
---NOW FOR MY RANT---
OK, I will be completely honest here. The show has gone down hill big time. Since Castiel's departure, the show has lost some appeal. Not all, I mean we still get our Sam and Dean, but the excitement is somewhat gone. Don't get me wrong, I've been a fan way before Cas joined the team, but when he was cast, they made a great decision. Now that he is gone, the creators are trying to drum up ways to keep the show interesting to their loyal fans, while others just drift away from the show. Ratings have gone down considerably since Cas left. They have to bring his character back in the same form (Misha Collins).
I agree with you @Ftmmjm06 about Castiel. But I haven't heard anything about the ratings being low. As Dean-girlx said: "Actually ratings are better now than they were this time last year".
Remember, you can't always have everything you expect of a tv show ftmmjm06. It is your opinion but that doesn't mean we'll never see him again. Remember, this is supernatural, everyone always comes back eventually. So just because your favorite character is missing, doesn't mean you should judge it because of it. Wait until you know you can't watch it anymore. We've had this conversation before with many others on here and they are still here in our fandom.
For starters, it was completely predictable. Of course it was going to be Becky. Of course she just happens to be friends with a Wicca who just, whoops, happens to be a crossroads demon. Of course she was going to back out and help the boys plant this trap to stop him. This had so much potential to be an awesome episode, but it felt the writers didn't even try. It felt like a filler episode that was slapped together at the last minute.
@josch: I actually read a pretty interesting theory on Tumblr about Garth and why he was there. It went something like "Dean needs to be needed. But Sam -- who's always been the one to need Dean -- is growing up and gaining more independence. He doesn't need Dean. Cas needed Dean in order to function on Earth, since he had no idea how. He was, as Dean said "a baby in a trench coat." But he's gone now. Dean has nobody that needs him. And everyone (except, maybe Sam), knows it. That's why Bobby sent Garth to him when Dean asked for back-up. Because Garth isn't that great of a hunter, and he completely relied on Dean to get things done. He allowed Dean to be needed, allowed Dean to be the leader and protector that he instinctively is."
