Is it just me or has it been ages since Dean and Sam called each other...?

I think it's partially due to the fact that it's such a dark show anymore. They really don't seem to have such a happy like brotherly teasing attitude towards each other since Sam went all demon-blood and then soulless. They seem to be getting back to that though, so I hope to see it again soon :)

I agree with camelgirl96! It has been ages since I heard it. I believe season 2, maybe 3 was the last time they actually said. And camelgirl96 answer makes a lot of sense on the reason why!

As our boys have aged, so has their relationship. They no longer need to act like kids. Besides, ever been stuck on an eight year road trip with family? Not sure I'd still be talking to ANY of my seven family members.
