I don't reckon he was. I mean, what would he possibly gain from it? It also depends on whether you think Chuck is God or not; if you do, then it was actually quite logical and what Joshua said fits in with it. If not, and he just felt like being mysterious, then it also fits. God's hardly an easy guy to get answers from or try to understand/talk to
