Can anyone please tell me how to make icons the sort where you can write things in them? Im kinda hopeless with computers! :)

Well it depends on a kind of picture you want to make. But if you wanna write smth. on pictures you can use even Paint for this. For more complicated actions you'll need Photoshop.
