Supernatural Question

I just noticed something...

It's about the Ruby storyline. Yeah, I know she's been dead for over two years, but I just realized it. I was in behindthename.com, searching for the meanings and history of some SPN characters' names. When I typed "Ruby" it said that the name was first used during the 19th century. Ruby though was born in the 1300s, as said in Malleus Maleficarum. How is it possible that she had that name??? I know it's kind of a "who cares" question, but I really found it weird...

Yeah, I guess it's kind of a "who cares" question, but I'm interested in where names come from. Thx for sharing! :)

Here's some ideas. Maybe Ruby is just the closest pronunciation to her name in the English language. Maybe her real name means "ruby" or "red" or something like it. Or maybe it's just the name of the blonde girl she possessed first. Remember that the demon in Meg used Meg's name, no matter who she was wearing.
