i actually don't hate Sally anymore. i mean i understand why she acts the way she does. i'd say i hate Rouge but hey someone needs to be the outcast so why not her?

Out of these, I like Sally the least.

Why? I find her to be a boring Mary Sue who never truly loved Sonic. She was a hypocrite- She was always off with other guys, and she seemed to like being single and having fun more than she liked Sonic, which is fine just so long as you don't have a boyfriend! They were never true to each other. Sonic went into relationships with Amy too, and I can't even count the number of boys Sally's been off with must be like 4 or 5. Amy has only ever love Sonic. Their love is pure.

don't even get me started on the whole cliche seen-it-all-before 'princess marries hero' gimme a break. No kid or teen was even interested in that. Sonsal got in the way of Sonic's hero job, because he was tied down with Sally like an old man. He's 15, not 50!
Face it, the bosses of Sonic wouldn't discontinued Sally unless that character totally sucked.
And THAT is why Sonamy prevails, because it's subtle enough not to tie Sonic down, because htey're only loosely in love. but the chemistry is still really strong. Everyone loves the whole Sonic/Amy 'will they? won't they?' love games anyway.

Amy is a WAY better leading lady for Sonic. She is realistic and down-to earth girl next door suffering from love symptoms that loads of girls can relate to, me included.
So that's why Sally died. and it's awesome how agitated the Sally fans get about it. They're such haters and opinion-nazi's. (most)

I'd have to say I hate Amy more Sally is better than Amy.Not because of her color's,I hate pink and brown(considering that my skin-tone is brown)I just don't like how Amy is she's annoying a brat and she act's like a kid ALL THE TIME when she does'nt get her way it's like she's a two year old.To me Amy needs to grow up and I don't change her image,I mean change her ways.Maybe if she'd loose the temper of Sonic and stuff maybe I would like her,but now,i'm an Amy hater.

2. She chases Sonic all over the place and that's so annoying
3. She is very ugly
4. She thinks Sonic is her boyfriend but he's not! Sonic loves Sally!
5. She's in love with Sonic whenever she sees him

7. She's the most annoying Sonic girl ever!

I definitely don't like Amy. She annoys me to hell. Her new voice is like Minny Mouse...............Blaze is definitely awesome. She and Sonic are like a version of Dawn and Ash from Pokemon, because they share similarities. Plus, Ash and Dawn have their high fives while Sonic and Blaze have their handshake.

I don't hate any of them. But I'll go over each them and give my opinion on them. Archie Comic characters will be skipped because I don't read them.

Amy Rose- I don't love her but I don't hate her. I find her to be a representation of a typical love-sick teenage girl who's unaware of how uncomfortable her way of showing love is making her love interest feel. Yes, I do find her fangirl/stalker moments quite annoying but they seem to be part of her charm and they seem to serve more as comedy. But I don't really find her annoying (after all that depends on what you class as annoying, what may be annoying to you may not be annoying to someone else).

Cream the Rabbit- I like her because she's the innocent and cute girl of the series. But I don't like that she replaced Amy as the damsel-in-distress (because personally the damsel-in-distress idea is awful). Thankfully she doesn't appear in every game and Eggman isn't always kidnapping dames (Sonic the Hedgehog 06 the only game I can think of that revolves entirely around this concept).

Rouge the Bat- Before Blaze came along she was my favourite of the Sonic females. Because she showed that feminine didn't equal 'submissive doormat' (not that any of them are anyways). She's flirty and fun but independant and ambitious. Only thing is I think everyone only likes her (and remembers her) for her sex appeal, so I wish everyone would try to find more to like about Rouge apart from 'OMFG SHE HOTZ!!!'

Blaze the Cat- My personal favourite. She's independant and knows how to stand her own ground, like Rouge. Except she isn't acting as sex appeal, so people are actually going to remember her for something that isn't her looks. Also I can relate to her because I'm also rather quiet with not a lot of friends.

Wave the Swallow- I like her because she's a mechanic and I like how she has a bit of an ego, because it shows that girls aren't always into typically girly things with 'girly' personalities. The only thing I don't like about her is when her ego makes her a bitch to people who she thinks isn't on the same level as her, but that's egomaniacs for you.

Shade the Echidna- Same reasons as Blaze really xD

Princess Elise- Okay, I hate her. If they hadn't made her a human who fancies (and actually kisses) an anthropomorphic hedgehog who always left herself vulnerable to being kidnapped every five minutes, I would like her more. That's all I have to say.

Cosmo the Seedrian- I like her for her kind personality and I could relate to her with her self-esteem issues. However I think she went on a bit too much about her self-esteem issues and how she was always messing up and getting her friends into danger and all that jazz. It made her seem like a wangst. And I didn't like it. Another reason is that she sort of replaced Chris as the useless, annoying Mary-Sue (okay she was a lot less annoying and jerky but still) but thankfully her sacrifice to save her friends and the universe at the end of Season 3 made up for all that.

Marine the Racoon- I like her because she's really adventurous and tomboyish, like a child Wave without the large ego. However she was really annoying especially with the overuse of all the Australian slang. I usually don't mind slang, but they just went overboard with it with Marine.

I didn't mention Maria Robotnik and Tikal the Echidna because they were pretty much minor, one-shot characters made to progress the plot (or make a plot) and rarely appear in the games. Okay never. Tikal only appeared in Sonic Adventure and in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle as a multiplayer character. And ever since Shadow's backstory has been tied up and finished we haven't seen Maria. But I have to admit I think Tikal and Maria are cute and kind characters and I admired them for trying to do what's best for their friends through pacifist methods.

So that's the end of my comment. By the way everyone forgot about Shahra the Ring Genie (Sonic and the Secret Rings) and Merlina the Sorceress (Sonic and the Black Knight). But since they were only one shot characters like Tikal and Maria, just less well-known in the fanbase, means I'll just skip them out.

@kikibibi: I agree with you. I don't like a lot of things about some of the girls (Elise has never been a fave of mine for sure) but I don't go on about them. Instead I like to look at the good, the things I like about them, even if it's minor (for example, I like Elise's dress even though I don't like her). Also, can people here try and not have a go at each other just because someone doesn't agree with you. If you have reasons, make sure they're reasonable (like disliking Sally because she's a tomboy, I've heard better reasons) and please respect the opinions of others.

Why are you guys getting mad at us for stating OUR opinions?

i would have said the answer i added (i hate elise the most, but amy is an annoying stalker) but i wanted the percentage of people who voted amy to ge higher.
