Shock the Dog Question

For those who have READ what I had added to chapter 6, why do you think Davis acted strange?

In what I added, Davis went after Shock with hatred, and acted...weird, not like DAVIS at all. Any guesses? Plus his eyes went purple instead of his natural green. Of course, only I know why XD
