Shock the Dog Question

If Shock dies, does his power die with him?

Eventually, Shock will die--not because of Malice, but like sometime years and years later.
If he dies, would his powers disappear? Does this question even make sense?

Would they have the same kinda powers or different ones? Cause Shock is the only person in the world with natural electric powers, so I think his kids should have different ones.
