Sherlock because he doesn't want to risk getting hurt once again (he must have a traumatized past) and John because this is something completely new to him and changes everything he knew about himself. He doesn't feel OK or safe with it so far. (I think John is heterosexual by nature and not bi or closet gay as some people think). posted over a year ago.
