Prologue
A older man stood back. He wiped the sweat off his forehead. He smiled at newly creation.
"Finally finished," he said. "She will rule."
A gray fox was laying on a table. She slowly opened her eyes. She sat up. "Where am I?" her blue eyes twinkled.
"Mist, I am the one who created you. Please just call me Doctor," the man answered.
"I'm called 'Mist'? Why?" the female fox looked confused and uncertain.
"You are called 'Mist' because of your misty pelt, and your misty personality and style, now, you have a mission." he went on, "You are to destroy all those humans on the planet called Earth." he walked to the window."
"Why?" Mist asked, following him.
"Because there is one who never protected something that I loved, my daughter Maria (*gasp*). She was killed, and that one got away, escaped and never protected her." Doctor squeezed his fists. "The one, the creature, must go."
Mist looked into his eyes and saw sadness and madness. "Who is this creature?" Her eyes glared at the Earth.
"A hedgehog."
"What's the name?" she was still glaring.
"Shadow the hedgehog."
Mist, once more, took one last glare at the cruel planet that held the one. She whispered to herself, "I will find you, and soon, you will be no more."

Chapter One
Mist got ready for her trip. All she packed was her pack belt. Which she had filled was weapons to destroy Shadow.
"Are you ready?" Doctor asked.
Mist nodded. She glared her eyes. "Of course I am."
"Alright. Go on in." Mist got into the escape pod. "Good luck."
"Thanks," Mist said.
He pushed the button and Mist's pod went up. She looked down and saw him, waving. She waved back. Then looked out the other side. Soon, she would land.
After a few days, she crashed onto the planet. Mist crawled out, throwing the door off into the trees. What a strange place, she thought, looking around.
She began her search for Shadow. Mist even climbed a mountain, nothing. She walked to the top.
"Where are you?" she whispered. Then she saw a weird prison. "I wonder? Oh well. He can't be there." Mist searched the land, seeing nothing.
"SHADOW! WHERE ARE YOU?!?" she shouted. It echoed through the forest. She growled, laying her ears flat on her head. "Fine, no answer, then I'll search my victim." she sped down the mountain at sonic speed. She got to the bottom in a second.
"I'm going into the town, let's see what I can find," she said to herself. Mist's tail flicked. The sun's harmful rays, heated up her pure black tail, making it very hot. Mist reached for it. She petted it. "Wow, what hotness it is here. I know just how to destroy Shadow." She continued on. She got to the town.
When she was in a middle of the street, she saw something coming towards her. "What is that?"
It was coming closer, and closer, then, it screeched to a stop. Mist's nose, barley touched it. Her hand had stopped this thing.
"Stupid human," she puffed.
A guy came out, yelling at Mist. Mist smirked a sly smile. She grapped the human by the neck with her hand and lifted him in the air.
"I hate you, humans. Now, you must die," she growled.
"Please, no, anything but that!" the guy begged. Mist took out her knife and stabbed it into his stomach.
"Nothing is better than the taste of blood," she said. She dropped the dead body to the ground. She crouched by it. Mist laid her finger in the blood, sniffed it, then licked it. She widened her eyes. "What great taste. I can't wait until I get a taste of Shadow's warm blood." She got up, and went on her way, searching for him.

Chapter Two
50 years later (wow)
Mist went back to the prison. She knocked on the huge door.
"Who is it?" someone called from on the top.
"Mist the Fox, let me in, or I kill you!" she yelled.
The door opened. She walked in. She went inside the prison cells. Mist looked for Shadow. So far, nothing. A tall, fat man walked to a certain cell. He had a bushy beard and pretty tall. Mist ignored him. The man turned to Mist and smiled.
"Hello, young lady," he said. "I'm Dr. Eggman, and you are?"
"Young lady, huh? About 5o years of searching for a certain someone!" Mist growled.
"Who is this someone? Lover?" Dr. Eggman question.
"No, enemy. My victim. He needs to be destroyed for good," Mist answered, laying her ears flat. "The victim's name is Shadow. Know him?"
Dr. Eggman slowly shook his head and turned back to the cell. Mist looked inside seeing a dark hedgehog with red quills.
"Please, let's make a deal shall we?" Dr. Eggman said to the hedgehog.
"No, Dr. I won't," the hedgehog growled.
"Fine, have it your way, what if I can set you free?"
Mist left them. She continued. looking for Shadow. Then she stopped in her tracks.
"Shadow, I will set you free, if you join me," Dr. Eggman said. Mist laid her ears flat and growled.
He did know! Lier! Mist thought bitterly. She was about to turn, but then didn't. She walked on.
After a few minutes she returned to the cell. She looked in. No one was there. "Missed him. But if I can find where Dr.'s quarters are, I can get to Shadow and end him for good. Then, the world will be in peace. So will I." She walked darkly out of the prison.
Outside, she ran at her speed. She climbed the mountain again. She knew Shadow would hear her if she shouted loud enough.
"SHADOW!" She shouted again. She saw a tiny black spot walking through the woods with a red dot. It was Shadow. They walked inside a huge place. Mist smirked a sly smile and ran down.
The time of the battle was now.
Mist ran into the building. She crashed through the windows, and rolled on the ground and crouched. She bent her head when she saw Shadow and Dr. Eggman.
"I am Mist the Fox and I have come for Shadow," she said calmly.
"You? Want me?" Shadow asked.
"Yes," Mist answered, looking up. Her blue eyes looked incident. "Shadow, I will take you away from Dr. Eggman."
"Alright, take him. I don't care," Eggman growled.
Mist grasped onto Shadow's hand and ran out of there.
Shadow got untied from Mist. He looked into her eyes.
"Why have you come here?" he asked, not knowing who she really was.
"To end you and your life," Mist growled.
"But why?"
"You have killed Maria. It was your fault." She saw in his red eyes that he didn't actually killed Maria.
"I didn't kill her! Some others did!" he exclaimed, glaring.
"Yeah right, let's see about that!" Mist took out her pistol from her boot. She pointed it at Shadow.
Shadow backed off. "Please don't do this."
Mist started to squeeze the trigger.

Chapter Three
As Mist was about to pull the trigger, someone or something, tackled Mist. Mist screeched in surprise. A brown hedgehog with brown hair and eyes, was on top of Mist. Mist flicked her black, huge tail at the stranger. The hedgehog fell off.
She glared at Mist. Mist picked up her pistol that was on the ground. Shadow watched in horror.
"Get away from him!" the hedgehog snapped.
"Make me," Mist snapped back. She didn't heisted this time and pulled the trigger right at Shadow. Right then, a different hedgehog stepped in front of Shadow, blocking the shot. The bullet went straight into the female hedgehog with one different colored eyes. The bullet shot into her stomach. She collapsed. Shadow knelt down next the to hedgehog.
Mist growled. The other hedgehog tackled Mist from behind and threw the pistol to someone else. A enchaina (is this how u spell it?) caught the gun and ran off.
"Come on Morgan! Athena!" the enchaina called. Athena, the one on the ground, stood up. Unwounded. Shadow helped her up.
"Good-bye, father," Athena said, and took off.
Morgan got off Mist and went after them.
(I'm making these three a group. k?)
Mist watched them go. Shadow was walking away. Mist went to a crouch. She felt pain in her chest. She looked down, blood split.
"Blood? From me? What a beautiful thing. But, there's one thing, I know I can do," she said. She laid her hand on her wound, her hand glowed, then her wound, and the wound was gone.
"Easy." Then she went on her way, to find Shadow.
After a few days, Mist was getting tired. She sat on a bench. She laid her head on the back of the bench and closed her eyes. What would she do now? She had lost track of Shadow. Where was he now? Mist opened her eyes to a familiar sound. Shadow's voice. Someone else was with him. She looked over to her left.
Shadow was snarling at a blue hedgehog, while a young orange two-tailed fox was watching. His blue eyes were in confusion in this fight.
Mist saw her in him. Could it be? It is! Tails. I'm his dark side of him. Wow, that's the real Tails. I'm so...I have such a funny feeling? Is it...jealously? Mist thought. She nodded. It was.
Tails watched the black and the blue hedgehog fight over something stupid.
"Sonic! You're so childish!" Shadow snarled, laying his ears down at the blue hedgehog.
"So?" Sonic asked.
"So, you're not brave enough to fight the Doctor!" Shadow finished.
"Yeah right," Sonic said, laying his ears flat to his head. "I am too, brave enough! How about you, Mister Big Shot?"
"Oh, now I'm Mr. Big Shot? I though you were! Idiot hedgehog!"
"Dumb headed idiot!"
Shadow started to clap and laugh. "Nice come back!" he chuckled.
Sonic growled. "Like you can come up with a better one!"
"I can!" Shadow snarled, not clapping anymore. He glared his red eyes.
Mist got up. She walked over to Sonic and Shadow. Sonic stopped fighting and stared at Mist. Mist's tail rubbed up against Sonic's nose. Her blue eyes sparkled.
"Are you, Sonic the hedgehog?" she asked, dazing her eyes.
"Uh...Yes..." he stammered.
"I need a favor." Mist blinked twice.
"What?" Sonic asked, getting his grip.
"I need you, to help me, to defeat Shadow," Mist answered. Her eyes went sad.
"Why?"
"Because, he has broken my heart so dearly," Mist answered, batting her eyes.
"How?"
"He...He broke up with me." Mist turned to Shadow and smirked a sly smile.
"I did not!" Shadow snapped.
Mist turned back to Sonic. "Will you, darling?"
Sonic stared at the two. "Uh...um......" he couldn't decide. Then he answered, "Yes, I will."

Chapter Four (YEAH!)
"Sonic! But why?" Tails put in.
"Because Tails, no one will hurt a beautiful girl like...uh what's your name?" Sonic asked Mist.
"Mist the Fox," she answered, glaring her blue eyes at Shadow. Shadow took a step back. Then he took off. "After him!"
Sonic and Mist took off, leaving Tails by himself. He watched the three older ones go. An eight year old can't get into this stuff. He left.
As Mist and Sonic chased Shadow down. Mist got out her knife from her pocket. She threw it at Shadow. He dodged it. He lead them to a 10 story building. they ran up. Shadow stopped at the edge of the building. His feet almost slipping.
Mist and sonic grew closer to him. Shadow stumbled and started to fall. Then he did, but he grapped on the building's roof. He held on for dear life.
"Mist, don't do this! I didn't do it! He told you a lie! You must see the good side of things!" Shadow pleaded, looking down then looked into Mist's eyes. In his eyes, she saw goodness. If she killed him now, nothing would be better, just worse.
She backed off, holding her head. She shook it away, but couldn't. She kept backing off. Sonic watching her, not knowing what to do. Mist kept backing off. Then, she slipped and fell.
Sonic ran to the edge, looking down, holding out his hand. She tried to grasp it but missed. Mist fell towards the hard road. She finally hit the hard ground.
Dust went flying. She had made a huge hole in the road. Mist stood up, covered in dust. She had hit her head, hard. She felt so dizzy. Shadow and Sonic came running at her.
When Mist saw Shadow, she smiled. Then she ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
Shadow shrugged at Sonic. Sonic scratched his head.
"Fall hard?" a voice mewed. It was a light purple female cat. She came out, wearing a dark vest or jacket. Her tail flicked. "Eh, I've seen worse."
"How?" Sonic asked the strange cat.
"I lived here ever since my mother and father got killed. Sonic, don't you remember me?" the cat did seem familiar to Sonic. Mist let go of Shadow.
"Who are you?" Mist asked.
"Kaitlynn the Cat. Call me Kat," she answered.
Mist just then saw Shadow being killed then him if he didn't get killed. She shook her head. "I must go." Then she took off. Shadow tried following her, but Kat stopped him. She shook her head.
"Don't," Kat mewed.
"Why not?" Shadow asked.
"If you do, great doom will come upon you, Shadow," Kat warned and walked off.

Chapter Five (WOW!)
Mist ran as fast as she could. Her boot slipped off. She stopped. She looked back. She hopped on one foot. She continued on running. Mist didn't care, then her other boot fell off. She kept running. Her socks fell off. They left a trail. Shadow could have followed her easily.
Mist kept running until she came to her mountain. She ran up. Her gloves fell off. She didn't care. She ran to the top. Mist watched the town from up there. Then she crouched down. She put her head through her legs and still watched. Mist wrapped her black, bushy tail around her. She started to cry.
"What have I done? I almost killed Shadow. I can die right now." She took out her pistol from her belt. She sat down, crossing her feet.
"No worries, no killing, no thoughts of anything. Good life as a dead fox," Mist said to herself.
"Put that pistol down," a small voice said.
Mist turned around. Tails stood over her. He sat down next to her.
"Why should I? The world will be better without a creature without me," Mist pointed out, pointing the pistol at her heart.
Tails looked at her with sadness in his blue eyes. "But, Mist, wouldn't you miss out of all the fun?"
"What's that?" Mist asked, pointing the pistol away from her.
"Fun is...Fun is when you...Its hard to explain, but its what friends do for each other. They do it together and have a good time," Tails answered, looking at the sky.
Mist laid back. She watched the clouds float by. "What about Shadow? I've been given a reason to destroy him for good. What will I do?"
"Not to kill him." Tails stood up. He held out his hand. "C'mon, let's have some fun."
Mist blinked. She sat up and stood. She held her hand into Tails'
"Let's." they walked down the mountain.
After a few minutes of climbing down. A flash of blue came towards them. He stopped in front of the two foxes.
"What is it, Sonic?" Tails asked.
"Its Shadow," Sonic answered.
"What about him?" Mist put in.
"He...he fell to the ground after Kat walked off. He tried following you, but he suddenly fell to the ground. He can't get up, can't even move. I tried helping him, but a shield-like figure guarded him," Sonic explained.
"Let's go!" Mist said, taking off. Tails flew above them. Sonic raced after Mist.
When they got there, Shadow laid on the ground. Eyes closed, teeth clenched together, and no blood. Mist bent down next to him. She got out a tool.
"What's that?" Sonic asked, pointing to the tool. Tails flew down.
"It must be a Shield Breaker. I always wanted to see one of those! But I never got to see one. Now, I am seeing one! This is so cool!" Tails exclaimed. Shadow's ears laid flat. Shadow snarled.
"The screaming, the noise, its too loud!" Shadow snapped.
Mist got the tool working and broke the shield. She laid her hand on Shadow's head. She saw it. She saw what was happening to him. She gasped. "No, it can't be!"

Chapter Six (Epicness)
"What?" Sonic asked.
"I can't tell you, its been a secret ever since I know. I've been told its a disease of some sort. But I cannot tell you what. I'm sorry, but I can only hope to find it somewhere else," Mist explained.
Sonic did a running stance. "Where? I'll find it."
Mist shook her head. She stood. "No, only the one who knows can find it. I will go. Take care of Shadow while I'm gone." She took off at sonic speed.
Tails watched her go.
After a few days of running, Mist had reached Europe. She slowed down, searching for the weird plant. Her eyes searched and searched. No sign of it. Then he phone beeped. It was the Doctor. Eggman was calling.
She answered it, "Hello?"
"Ah, its you Mist. I need to talk to you about something important," Eggman said.
"What?"
"I have captured your friends. They're with me now. Here is Sonic," Eggman told her.
"Mist! Help us!" Sonic's voice called.
Mist wasn't sure if this was a trick or not. She decided to look for the plant then go to Eggman. "Eggman, let me look for something, then I will be over where you are."
"Alright. Better hurry, they will die in three days," Eggman chuckled then hung up.
Mist closed her phone, put it away, and began her search again. She couldn't believe what Eggman would do to the three! Mist's tail flicked in a annoyance.
"If only I knew what to look for," she whispered, looking at the ground. She walked on.
Two days went by. Her last day to find the cure for Shadow. Shadow will die any day now with out this plant. She had reached China. Before she had searched other countries.
Then, she had given up. She slid down a tree in the country. She put her knees up to her chest. She laid her head on her knees. Mist sighed. What would she do now? Her friends would die tomorrow without her help.
Then, someone stood before her.
"Looking for this?" it was Kaitlynn! Mist looked up.
"Kat?" Mist asked. She stared at the plant in Kat's paws. It was the plant.
"Yes?"
"How did you know?"
"I just knew. I know my herbs you know. Come on! We've got to save Shadow!" Kat exclaimed. Mist got up. Together, they ran back to the Island.
At Dusk, they reached Eggman's head quarters. Kat handed Mist the plant. They shared a plan to stop Eggman and save Shadow's life. Then, Mist felt the feeling. The feeling to destroy Shadow for good.
She snatched the plant out of Kat's hands and stomped inside.
When Mist found Eggman with the others. There they were. Sonic, Tails, and dying Shadow.
"Hey Eggman," Mist said, twisting the plant.
"Mist." Eggman nodded.
"Let them go, I'll do whatever you want," Mist snarled.
"Fine," he let them go. Shadow laid where he was.
Kat busted in through the windows. She tackled Eggman. He hit the walls, then hit the ground. Kat ran to Mist, getting the plant, then ran to Shadow. Kat sat down next to Shadow. She laid him across her lap, trying to feed him the plant.
Mist growled. Sonic and Tails were untangling the ropes on them. Mist walked to Kat and Shadow. Then, Mist threw herself at Kat. Kat, to Mist, was trapped.

Chapter Seven
As Mist leaped, she tackled Kat. Kat kicked her off. Mist growled. She got out her knife. She hurried over to Shadow. He laid there, eyes closed, not moving, and barley breathing.
"Don't touch him!" Kat snapped.
Mist laid her ears flat. She smirked her sly smile. "Try me." She held up her knife, and then went down. She was about to stab Shadow in the heart, when a hand grapped her wrist. Shadow had woke up. He growled. Then flipped her away. Mist's knife flew across the room.
Sonic, Tails, and Kat watched in horror. Sonic was about to join, when Kat stopped him.
"This is their fight, Sonic. Leave them be," Kat told him. Sonic held back.
Mist hit the wall hard, leaving a huge dent. She leaped from that wall, to another, then another, then she jumped onto Shadow's back. He glared at her. Mist hung on. Shadow sprinted off. Mist flicked her tail across Shadow's eyes.
Shadow slowed down, but slammed into the wall. Mist leaped off. She was well hidden in the shadows. Shadow wiped the dust off him. He sprinted up the wall, finding Mist. His red eyes glowed in the darkness. Mist's icy blue eyes stared back. She took off. Shadow right behind her.
(This is epic.)
Mist lead him into a strange room. Shadow stopped in the doorway. Mist ran off to hide. Shadow walked in slowly, looking around.
Mist watched him closely. She smirked.
"Shadow! Why aren't you trying to kill me?" Mist called, echoing the place.
Shadow turned towards her direction. Mist stood up.
"Why aren't you? When I'm trying to destroy you!" She ran at him, tackling him. He struggled under her weight. Mist pinned his arms down. She sat on his legs. He couldn't move. She suddenly felt dizzy. Shadow still struggled.
Mist fell over. She went into pure darkness. Shadow knelt by her. He looked away. He stood up. He was about to leave her there, but he felt he just couldn't. Shadow turned back to Mist. He bent down and lifted her in his arms.
He ran out of Eggman's quarters.
When Shadow reached outside, Kat, Tails, and Sonic waited for them. Kat stared at passed out Mist. Kat nodded then ran off at sonic speed, Sonic took off, then Shadow. Tails flew in the air. Kat led them back to her house. When the sun was setting, Kat left them. Shadow laid Mist down on the couch gently. He sat down by her feet. Tails flipped on the T.V.
"What's on Tails?" Sonic asked.
"I don't know. Let's watch Random things!" He started flipping through channels.
As the Sun was coming up, Shadow was still awake. The others fell asleep at like 9ish. Mist suddenly woke.
"Shadow? Sonic? Tails?" Mist looked at all of them. Tails woke up. Then Sonic.
Kat came in. She walked passed all of them and sat down in a chair. She drank some water and stared at nothing. She seemed mad.
"What's the matter, Kat?" Mist asked, sitting up next to Shadow. Then she scooted away. Shadow leaned his head back on the couch.
Kat sighed. "I have a lot to explain to you guys. I'm not like any of you."
Sonic laughed. "Yes you are! Saving the world, stopping Eggman, and-"
"Not that!" she cut him off. "At night, I'm way different than you think."
"How?" Tails asked.
"I...I...How do I explain it?" she paused. Then stood up. She stared at all of them with her icy blue eyes. "I have a power at night."
"What kind? Good?" Sonic put in.
"Yeah it has to be good, it can't be evil!" Tails agreed.
Shadow looked up. "It could be both. Tell us Kat. Spit it out." They all nodded their head s at her.
Mist looked at her with kind eyes. "You can do it," she mouthed.
"I...I turn evil at night," Kat finally told them.

Chapter Eight!!! (yes, I got an idea)
As Kat said her secret, some cars came rolling by. Not any cars, Police cars. Mist laid her ears flat.
"What do they want now?" she growled.
Shadow flicked his ear. "Eh, he// if I knew."
"Dam it, they heard! I have to hide! but..where?" Kat looked around her place. She couldn't escape.
"Wait! Come with me!" Tails said, grasping her hand. He pulled her out the back door. Mist, Shadow, and Sonic stared at each other. then, Mist and Shadow pulled out their pistols. Sonic looked at them, then got a ring.
"Ready?" Sonic asked.
"You bet," Mist growled, smiling slyly. She headed out the door. The police started shooting. Mist didn't get hit. She rolled on the grass, kneeling, shooting at them. She hit their cars, killing some people surrounding. The people she hit weren't police at all, just normal people.
Then Shadow came out. He shot at the police. The police shot back. One police fell. Shadow smirked and ran off.
Sonic came next. He had the ring in his hand, caught it then spun to the police, knocking everyone out. He ran off towards Mist and Shadow.
Mist dazed her blue eyes at the two hedgehogs. She then lit them up. She smirked a smile. then flicked her black tail. She stood up from kneeling. She winked at Sonic. "Nice." then walked off.
Sonic had wide eyes. Shadow chuckled. Sonic punched Shadow in the arm. Shadow punched harder, sending Sonic flying. Mist turned. she had her pistol aiming past Shadow's foot. She shot right by his foot. Shadow jumped a little.
"Knock it off," she snapped. "Come on. We have a day to make it out."
Sonic and Shadow followed.
"What do you mean 'make it out'?" Sonic asked.
Mist stopped, turning to him. "Alive." She threw him a pistol. "Careful with that." And they walked off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the three walked, they came to a dark alley. Mist walked in. She knew her way. This was one of her favorite spots.
"Where are you going?" Sonic asked, sounding freaked out. Shadow chuckled and walked after Mist.
"Hey! Wait up!" Sonic ran slowly towards them. Mist felt his nervousness.
She turned. "Calm down, you might attract the gang."
"What gang?" Sonic said loudly.
Mist laid her ears down, glaring her eyes annoyed. Five or six guys came down from the other alleys.
"That gang," she told him. Sonic stared at the strange people. Each of them had a smirking smile on their face.
"Ready to die?" one of them asked, holding up a fairly sharp knife.
Mist held her pistol up and shot about 3 of them. Shadow shot one of them.
The leader of the gang only laughed and shot his gun at Mist. He barely got her arm. She growled and tackled him, knocking the gun out of his hand. Shadow shot a couple more of the gang, while Sonic watched in disbelief.
Mist slapped the Leader about 3o times. The leader struggled under her weight then she stood up and shot him in the head. The leader blacked out.
Sonic had a "O_O" on his face. Shadow rolled his eyes.
"Let's go," Mist said, walking past them, then she stumbled to the ground, putting her right hand on her left arm. She took her hand off her arm, seeing blood. She laid her hand back on her wound. She fell to the ground.
"Mist!" Sonic exclaimed, kneeling down next to her.
"Go! Protect Kaitlynn. I'll be with you," Mist ordered.
Shadow shook his head. He scooped her up into his arms once again. Sonic narrowed his emerald green eyes. He stood up and ran with Shadow.
Mist, again, fell into complete darkness. Pain stabbed her like a needle. She gasped in pain as Shadow ran. He soothed her. He sped into greater speed. Mist couldn't see or hear anymore. She fell into a coma and hoped she wouldn't wake up.
Chapter Nine
When Mist woke, she was in a bright room. With familiar voices. Am I dead? she wondered. She opened her eyes a little more.
"Wow! She's alive!" exclaimed a newer voice. It sounded older than Tails.
"Of course she is, Yasmin! Mist won't ever die, as long as she has my DNA." the voice of Tails spoke up.
"Shut up. Let's see if she'll talk." Sonic's voice calmed Mist down.
Mist blinked, staring at her friends. Wait, they weren't her friends. And where was Shadow? Mist had to kill him to be able to succeed. Something was ringing, flicking one of her ears, she reached for her phone. Pain struck her arm like a needle. Tails stepped up and got it for her. He answered it.
"Who are you?" he asked.
Mist glared her eyes. "Give me it." Tails gave the phone to Mist.
"Have you done it yet?" the voice asked.
"No, Dr. I'm sorry, but I can't find him. I got shot in the arm because of him!" Mist growled.
Tails and who it seemed to be Yasmin stared at her with wide eyes. Tails flicked his tails. Yasmin glared her amber eyes.
"He did not! It's your fault!" Yasmin snarled.
Mist ignored the little brat. "Anyway, where can I find him?"
"Somewhere in the forest. He's talking with someone in a..cabin?" the voice paused then went on, "Get out of Tails', the other kid's, and Sonic's sight. Go kill Shadow now!" Then h hung up.
Mist put her phone down gently. Pain still struck her. She closed her eyes tightly, thinking they would leave her in peace.
"Come on, she wants rest. Let's go," Sonic finally said the magic words to Mist. Tails sighed heavily. Yasmin said nothing more, and the three left Mist alone. Mist opened her eyes. She was alone. She got of the stupid dress she was wearing and put on her clothes. She ignored every single pain she felt in her arm. Mist went out the window with he phone and everything else.
She leaped to the ground and ran. She got in the forest at sonic speed. She found the cabin. She stopped and listened.
"But Shadow, Mist will kill you. She told me before," Kat's voice spoke up. Mist perked her ears to the door.
"Kat, I can defend my own self," Shadow snapped.
"Yeah, I know. But can't you let me help you?" Kat asked.
Shadow sighed. "Mist is at the hospital. It's not like she can sneak out and kill me now in this cabin."
Mist stopped listening and busted the door opened. She held up her pistol at Shadow. She flicked her black tail. "Wrong Shadow. I can sneak out the window and kill you right now. Kat will have to step back."
Kat did as Mist told her too. Mist's eyes told Shadow a dark secret. He glared his red eyes then smiled slyly. He walked up to Mist. Putting his hands around Mist's waist. He leaned forward and kissed Mist. Mist widened her icy blue eyes then closed them, dropping the pistol. She kissed Shadow back.
Kat stared in disbelief. Then smiled and left the two alone.
"What the hell are you doing?" she demanded, glaring at him.
"Kissing you," he answered slyly. He swept her off her feet. "I know you want to kissed me all through the killing."
Mist swished her tail, blushing. “Damn you are good.” Dr. would be really angry with her if she loved Shadow instead of hating Shadow. She shrugged and kissed Shadow once again.
"Mist, I am the one who created you. Please just call me Doctor," the man answered.
"I'm called 'Mist'? Why?" the female fox looked confused and uncertain.
"You are called 'Mist' because of your misty pelt, and your misty personality and style, now, you have a mission." he went on, "You are to destroy all those humans on the planet called Earth." he walked to the window."
"Why?" Mist asked, following him.
"Because there is one who never protected something that I loved, my daughter Maria (*gasp*). She was killed, and that one got away, escaped and never protected her." Doctor squeezed his fists. "The one, the creature, must go."
Mist looked into his eyes and saw sadness and madness. "Who is this creature?" Her eyes glared at the Earth.
"A hedgehog."
"What's the name?" she was still glaring.
"Shadow the hedgehog."
Mist, once more, took one last glare at the cruel planet that held the one. She whispered to herself, "I will find you, and soon, you will be no more."
Chapter One
Mist got ready for her trip. All she packed was her pack belt. Which she had filled was weapons to destroy Shadow.
"Are you ready?" Doctor asked.
Mist nodded. She glared her eyes. "Of course I am."
"Alright. Go on in." Mist got into the escape pod. "Good luck."
"Thanks," Mist said.
He pushed the button and Mist's pod went up. She looked down and saw him, waving. She waved back. Then looked out the other side. Soon, she would land.
After a few days, she crashed onto the planet. Mist crawled out, throwing the door off into the trees. What a strange place, she thought, looking around.
She began her search for Shadow. Mist even climbed a mountain, nothing. She walked to the top.
"Where are you?" she whispered. Then she saw a weird prison. "I wonder? Oh well. He can't be there." Mist searched the land, seeing nothing.
"SHADOW! WHERE ARE YOU?!?" she shouted. It echoed through the forest. She growled, laying her ears flat on her head. "Fine, no answer, then I'll search my victim." she sped down the mountain at sonic speed. She got to the bottom in a second.
"I'm going into the town, let's see what I can find," she said to herself. Mist's tail flicked. The sun's harmful rays, heated up her pure black tail, making it very hot. Mist reached for it. She petted it. "Wow, what hotness it is here. I know just how to destroy Shadow." She continued on. She got to the town.
When she was in a middle of the street, she saw something coming towards her. "What is that?"
It was coming closer, and closer, then, it screeched to a stop. Mist's nose, barley touched it. Her hand had stopped this thing.
"Stupid human," she puffed.
A guy came out, yelling at Mist. Mist smirked a sly smile. She grapped the human by the neck with her hand and lifted him in the air.
"I hate you, humans. Now, you must die," she growled.
"Please, no, anything but that!" the guy begged. Mist took out her knife and stabbed it into his stomach.
"Nothing is better than the taste of blood," she said. She dropped the dead body to the ground. She crouched by it. Mist laid her finger in the blood, sniffed it, then licked it. She widened her eyes. "What great taste. I can't wait until I get a taste of Shadow's warm blood." She got up, and went on her way, searching for him.
Chapter Two
50 years later (wow)
Mist went back to the prison. She knocked on the huge door.
"Who is it?" someone called from on the top.
"Mist the Fox, let me in, or I kill you!" she yelled.
The door opened. She walked in. She went inside the prison cells. Mist looked for Shadow. So far, nothing. A tall, fat man walked to a certain cell. He had a bushy beard and pretty tall. Mist ignored him. The man turned to Mist and smiled.
"Hello, young lady," he said. "I'm Dr. Eggman, and you are?"
"Young lady, huh? About 5o years of searching for a certain someone!" Mist growled.
"Who is this someone? Lover?" Dr. Eggman question.
"No, enemy. My victim. He needs to be destroyed for good," Mist answered, laying her ears flat. "The victim's name is Shadow. Know him?"
Dr. Eggman slowly shook his head and turned back to the cell. Mist looked inside seeing a dark hedgehog with red quills.
"Please, let's make a deal shall we?" Dr. Eggman said to the hedgehog.
"No, Dr. I won't," the hedgehog growled.
"Fine, have it your way, what if I can set you free?"
Mist left them. She continued. looking for Shadow. Then she stopped in her tracks.
"Shadow, I will set you free, if you join me," Dr. Eggman said. Mist laid her ears flat and growled.
He did know! Lier! Mist thought bitterly. She was about to turn, but then didn't. She walked on.
After a few minutes she returned to the cell. She looked in. No one was there. "Missed him. But if I can find where Dr.'s quarters are, I can get to Shadow and end him for good. Then, the world will be in peace. So will I." She walked darkly out of the prison.
Outside, she ran at her speed. She climbed the mountain again. She knew Shadow would hear her if she shouted loud enough.
"SHADOW!" She shouted again. She saw a tiny black spot walking through the woods with a red dot. It was Shadow. They walked inside a huge place. Mist smirked a sly smile and ran down.
The time of the battle was now.
Mist ran into the building. She crashed through the windows, and rolled on the ground and crouched. She bent her head when she saw Shadow and Dr. Eggman.
"I am Mist the Fox and I have come for Shadow," she said calmly.
"You? Want me?" Shadow asked.
"Yes," Mist answered, looking up. Her blue eyes looked incident. "Shadow, I will take you away from Dr. Eggman."
"Alright, take him. I don't care," Eggman growled.
Mist grasped onto Shadow's hand and ran out of there.
Shadow got untied from Mist. He looked into her eyes.
"Why have you come here?" he asked, not knowing who she really was.
"To end you and your life," Mist growled.
"But why?"
"You have killed Maria. It was your fault." She saw in his red eyes that he didn't actually killed Maria.
"I didn't kill her! Some others did!" he exclaimed, glaring.
"Yeah right, let's see about that!" Mist took out her pistol from her boot. She pointed it at Shadow.
Shadow backed off. "Please don't do this."
Mist started to squeeze the trigger.
Chapter Three
As Mist was about to pull the trigger, someone or something, tackled Mist. Mist screeched in surprise. A brown hedgehog with brown hair and eyes, was on top of Mist. Mist flicked her black, huge tail at the stranger. The hedgehog fell off.
She glared at Mist. Mist picked up her pistol that was on the ground. Shadow watched in horror.
"Get away from him!" the hedgehog snapped.
"Make me," Mist snapped back. She didn't heisted this time and pulled the trigger right at Shadow. Right then, a different hedgehog stepped in front of Shadow, blocking the shot. The bullet went straight into the female hedgehog with one different colored eyes. The bullet shot into her stomach. She collapsed. Shadow knelt down next the to hedgehog.
Mist growled. The other hedgehog tackled Mist from behind and threw the pistol to someone else. A enchaina (is this how u spell it?) caught the gun and ran off.
"Come on Morgan! Athena!" the enchaina called. Athena, the one on the ground, stood up. Unwounded. Shadow helped her up.
"Good-bye, father," Athena said, and took off.
Morgan got off Mist and went after them.
(I'm making these three a group. k?)
Mist watched them go. Shadow was walking away. Mist went to a crouch. She felt pain in her chest. She looked down, blood split.
"Blood? From me? What a beautiful thing. But, there's one thing, I know I can do," she said. She laid her hand on her wound, her hand glowed, then her wound, and the wound was gone.
"Easy." Then she went on her way, to find Shadow.
After a few days, Mist was getting tired. She sat on a bench. She laid her head on the back of the bench and closed her eyes. What would she do now? She had lost track of Shadow. Where was he now? Mist opened her eyes to a familiar sound. Shadow's voice. Someone else was with him. She looked over to her left.
Shadow was snarling at a blue hedgehog, while a young orange two-tailed fox was watching. His blue eyes were in confusion in this fight.
Mist saw her in him. Could it be? It is! Tails. I'm his dark side of him. Wow, that's the real Tails. I'm so...I have such a funny feeling? Is it...jealously? Mist thought. She nodded. It was.
Tails watched the black and the blue hedgehog fight over something stupid.
"Sonic! You're so childish!" Shadow snarled, laying his ears down at the blue hedgehog.
"So?" Sonic asked.
"So, you're not brave enough to fight the Doctor!" Shadow finished.
"Yeah right," Sonic said, laying his ears flat to his head. "I am too, brave enough! How about you, Mister Big Shot?"
"Oh, now I'm Mr. Big Shot? I though you were! Idiot hedgehog!"
"Dumb headed idiot!"
Shadow started to clap and laugh. "Nice come back!" he chuckled.
Sonic growled. "Like you can come up with a better one!"
"I can!" Shadow snarled, not clapping anymore. He glared his red eyes.
Mist got up. She walked over to Sonic and Shadow. Sonic stopped fighting and stared at Mist. Mist's tail rubbed up against Sonic's nose. Her blue eyes sparkled.
"Are you, Sonic the hedgehog?" she asked, dazing her eyes.
"Uh...Yes..." he stammered.
"I need a favor." Mist blinked twice.
"What?" Sonic asked, getting his grip.
"I need you, to help me, to defeat Shadow," Mist answered. Her eyes went sad.
"Why?"
"Because, he has broken my heart so dearly," Mist answered, batting her eyes.
"How?"
"He...He broke up with me." Mist turned to Shadow and smirked a sly smile.
"I did not!" Shadow snapped.
Mist turned back to Sonic. "Will you, darling?"
Sonic stared at the two. "Uh...um......" he couldn't decide. Then he answered, "Yes, I will."
Chapter Four (YEAH!)
"Sonic! But why?" Tails put in.
"Because Tails, no one will hurt a beautiful girl like...uh what's your name?" Sonic asked Mist.
"Mist the Fox," she answered, glaring her blue eyes at Shadow. Shadow took a step back. Then he took off. "After him!"
Sonic and Mist took off, leaving Tails by himself. He watched the three older ones go. An eight year old can't get into this stuff. He left.
As Mist and Sonic chased Shadow down. Mist got out her knife from her pocket. She threw it at Shadow. He dodged it. He lead them to a 10 story building. they ran up. Shadow stopped at the edge of the building. His feet almost slipping.
Mist and sonic grew closer to him. Shadow stumbled and started to fall. Then he did, but he grapped on the building's roof. He held on for dear life.
"Mist, don't do this! I didn't do it! He told you a lie! You must see the good side of things!" Shadow pleaded, looking down then looked into Mist's eyes. In his eyes, she saw goodness. If she killed him now, nothing would be better, just worse.
She backed off, holding her head. She shook it away, but couldn't. She kept backing off. Sonic watching her, not knowing what to do. Mist kept backing off. Then, she slipped and fell.
Sonic ran to the edge, looking down, holding out his hand. She tried to grasp it but missed. Mist fell towards the hard road. She finally hit the hard ground.
Dust went flying. She had made a huge hole in the road. Mist stood up, covered in dust. She had hit her head, hard. She felt so dizzy. Shadow and Sonic came running at her.
When Mist saw Shadow, she smiled. Then she ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
Shadow shrugged at Sonic. Sonic scratched his head.
"Fall hard?" a voice mewed. It was a light purple female cat. She came out, wearing a dark vest or jacket. Her tail flicked. "Eh, I've seen worse."
"How?" Sonic asked the strange cat.
"I lived here ever since my mother and father got killed. Sonic, don't you remember me?" the cat did seem familiar to Sonic. Mist let go of Shadow.
"Who are you?" Mist asked.
"Kaitlynn the Cat. Call me Kat," she answered.
Mist just then saw Shadow being killed then him if he didn't get killed. She shook her head. "I must go." Then she took off. Shadow tried following her, but Kat stopped him. She shook her head.
"Don't," Kat mewed.
"Why not?" Shadow asked.
"If you do, great doom will come upon you, Shadow," Kat warned and walked off.
Chapter Five (WOW!)
Mist ran as fast as she could. Her boot slipped off. She stopped. She looked back. She hopped on one foot. She continued on running. Mist didn't care, then her other boot fell off. She kept running. Her socks fell off. They left a trail. Shadow could have followed her easily.
Mist kept running until she came to her mountain. She ran up. Her gloves fell off. She didn't care. She ran to the top. Mist watched the town from up there. Then she crouched down. She put her head through her legs and still watched. Mist wrapped her black, bushy tail around her. She started to cry.
"What have I done? I almost killed Shadow. I can die right now." She took out her pistol from her belt. She sat down, crossing her feet.
"No worries, no killing, no thoughts of anything. Good life as a dead fox," Mist said to herself.
"Put that pistol down," a small voice said.
Mist turned around. Tails stood over her. He sat down next to her.
"Why should I? The world will be better without a creature without me," Mist pointed out, pointing the pistol at her heart.
Tails looked at her with sadness in his blue eyes. "But, Mist, wouldn't you miss out of all the fun?"
"What's that?" Mist asked, pointing the pistol away from her.
"Fun is...Fun is when you...Its hard to explain, but its what friends do for each other. They do it together and have a good time," Tails answered, looking at the sky.
Mist laid back. She watched the clouds float by. "What about Shadow? I've been given a reason to destroy him for good. What will I do?"
"Not to kill him." Tails stood up. He held out his hand. "C'mon, let's have some fun."
Mist blinked. She sat up and stood. She held her hand into Tails'
"Let's." they walked down the mountain.
After a few minutes of climbing down. A flash of blue came towards them. He stopped in front of the two foxes.
"What is it, Sonic?" Tails asked.
"Its Shadow," Sonic answered.
"What about him?" Mist put in.
"He...he fell to the ground after Kat walked off. He tried following you, but he suddenly fell to the ground. He can't get up, can't even move. I tried helping him, but a shield-like figure guarded him," Sonic explained.
"Let's go!" Mist said, taking off. Tails flew above them. Sonic raced after Mist.
When they got there, Shadow laid on the ground. Eyes closed, teeth clenched together, and no blood. Mist bent down next to him. She got out a tool.
"What's that?" Sonic asked, pointing to the tool. Tails flew down.
"It must be a Shield Breaker. I always wanted to see one of those! But I never got to see one. Now, I am seeing one! This is so cool!" Tails exclaimed. Shadow's ears laid flat. Shadow snarled.
"The screaming, the noise, its too loud!" Shadow snapped.
Mist got the tool working and broke the shield. She laid her hand on Shadow's head. She saw it. She saw what was happening to him. She gasped. "No, it can't be!"
Chapter Six (Epicness)
"What?" Sonic asked.
"I can't tell you, its been a secret ever since I know. I've been told its a disease of some sort. But I cannot tell you what. I'm sorry, but I can only hope to find it somewhere else," Mist explained.
Sonic did a running stance. "Where? I'll find it."
Mist shook her head. She stood. "No, only the one who knows can find it. I will go. Take care of Shadow while I'm gone." She took off at sonic speed.
Tails watched her go.
After a few days of running, Mist had reached Europe. She slowed down, searching for the weird plant. Her eyes searched and searched. No sign of it. Then he phone beeped. It was the Doctor. Eggman was calling.
She answered it, "Hello?"
"Ah, its you Mist. I need to talk to you about something important," Eggman said.
"What?"
"I have captured your friends. They're with me now. Here is Sonic," Eggman told her.
"Mist! Help us!" Sonic's voice called.
Mist wasn't sure if this was a trick or not. She decided to look for the plant then go to Eggman. "Eggman, let me look for something, then I will be over where you are."
"Alright. Better hurry, they will die in three days," Eggman chuckled then hung up.
Mist closed her phone, put it away, and began her search again. She couldn't believe what Eggman would do to the three! Mist's tail flicked in a annoyance.
"If only I knew what to look for," she whispered, looking at the ground. She walked on.
Two days went by. Her last day to find the cure for Shadow. Shadow will die any day now with out this plant. She had reached China. Before she had searched other countries.
Then, she had given up. She slid down a tree in the country. She put her knees up to her chest. She laid her head on her knees. Mist sighed. What would she do now? Her friends would die tomorrow without her help.
Then, someone stood before her.
"Looking for this?" it was Kaitlynn! Mist looked up.
"Kat?" Mist asked. She stared at the plant in Kat's paws. It was the plant.
"Yes?"
"How did you know?"
"I just knew. I know my herbs you know. Come on! We've got to save Shadow!" Kat exclaimed. Mist got up. Together, they ran back to the Island.
At Dusk, they reached Eggman's head quarters. Kat handed Mist the plant. They shared a plan to stop Eggman and save Shadow's life. Then, Mist felt the feeling. The feeling to destroy Shadow for good.
She snatched the plant out of Kat's hands and stomped inside.
When Mist found Eggman with the others. There they were. Sonic, Tails, and dying Shadow.
"Hey Eggman," Mist said, twisting the plant.
"Mist." Eggman nodded.
"Let them go, I'll do whatever you want," Mist snarled.
"Fine," he let them go. Shadow laid where he was.
Kat busted in through the windows. She tackled Eggman. He hit the walls, then hit the ground. Kat ran to Mist, getting the plant, then ran to Shadow. Kat sat down next to Shadow. She laid him across her lap, trying to feed him the plant.
Mist growled. Sonic and Tails were untangling the ropes on them. Mist walked to Kat and Shadow. Then, Mist threw herself at Kat. Kat, to Mist, was trapped.
Chapter Seven
As Mist leaped, she tackled Kat. Kat kicked her off. Mist growled. She got out her knife. She hurried over to Shadow. He laid there, eyes closed, not moving, and barley breathing.
"Don't touch him!" Kat snapped.
Mist laid her ears flat. She smirked her sly smile. "Try me." She held up her knife, and then went down. She was about to stab Shadow in the heart, when a hand grapped her wrist. Shadow had woke up. He growled. Then flipped her away. Mist's knife flew across the room.
Sonic, Tails, and Kat watched in horror. Sonic was about to join, when Kat stopped him.
"This is their fight, Sonic. Leave them be," Kat told him. Sonic held back.
Mist hit the wall hard, leaving a huge dent. She leaped from that wall, to another, then another, then she jumped onto Shadow's back. He glared at her. Mist hung on. Shadow sprinted off. Mist flicked her tail across Shadow's eyes.
Shadow slowed down, but slammed into the wall. Mist leaped off. She was well hidden in the shadows. Shadow wiped the dust off him. He sprinted up the wall, finding Mist. His red eyes glowed in the darkness. Mist's icy blue eyes stared back. She took off. Shadow right behind her.
(This is epic.)
Mist lead him into a strange room. Shadow stopped in the doorway. Mist ran off to hide. Shadow walked in slowly, looking around.
Mist watched him closely. She smirked.
"Shadow! Why aren't you trying to kill me?" Mist called, echoing the place.
Shadow turned towards her direction. Mist stood up.
"Why aren't you? When I'm trying to destroy you!" She ran at him, tackling him. He struggled under her weight. Mist pinned his arms down. She sat on his legs. He couldn't move. She suddenly felt dizzy. Shadow still struggled.
Mist fell over. She went into pure darkness. Shadow knelt by her. He looked away. He stood up. He was about to leave her there, but he felt he just couldn't. Shadow turned back to Mist. He bent down and lifted her in his arms.
He ran out of Eggman's quarters.
When Shadow reached outside, Kat, Tails, and Sonic waited for them. Kat stared at passed out Mist. Kat nodded then ran off at sonic speed, Sonic took off, then Shadow. Tails flew in the air. Kat led them back to her house. When the sun was setting, Kat left them. Shadow laid Mist down on the couch gently. He sat down by her feet. Tails flipped on the T.V.
"What's on Tails?" Sonic asked.
"I don't know. Let's watch Random things!" He started flipping through channels.
As the Sun was coming up, Shadow was still awake. The others fell asleep at like 9ish. Mist suddenly woke.
"Shadow? Sonic? Tails?" Mist looked at all of them. Tails woke up. Then Sonic.
Kat came in. She walked passed all of them and sat down in a chair. She drank some water and stared at nothing. She seemed mad.
"What's the matter, Kat?" Mist asked, sitting up next to Shadow. Then she scooted away. Shadow leaned his head back on the couch.
Kat sighed. "I have a lot to explain to you guys. I'm not like any of you."
Sonic laughed. "Yes you are! Saving the world, stopping Eggman, and-"
"Not that!" she cut him off. "At night, I'm way different than you think."
"How?" Tails asked.
"I...I...How do I explain it?" she paused. Then stood up. She stared at all of them with her icy blue eyes. "I have a power at night."
"What kind? Good?" Sonic put in.
"Yeah it has to be good, it can't be evil!" Tails agreed.
Shadow looked up. "It could be both. Tell us Kat. Spit it out." They all nodded their head s at her.
Mist looked at her with kind eyes. "You can do it," she mouthed.
"I...I turn evil at night," Kat finally told them.
Chapter Eight!!! (yes, I got an idea)
As Kat said her secret, some cars came rolling by. Not any cars, Police cars. Mist laid her ears flat.
"What do they want now?" she growled.
Shadow flicked his ear. "Eh, he// if I knew."
"Dam it, they heard! I have to hide! but..where?" Kat looked around her place. She couldn't escape.
"Wait! Come with me!" Tails said, grasping her hand. He pulled her out the back door. Mist, Shadow, and Sonic stared at each other. then, Mist and Shadow pulled out their pistols. Sonic looked at them, then got a ring.
"Ready?" Sonic asked.
"You bet," Mist growled, smiling slyly. She headed out the door. The police started shooting. Mist didn't get hit. She rolled on the grass, kneeling, shooting at them. She hit their cars, killing some people surrounding. The people she hit weren't police at all, just normal people.
Then Shadow came out. He shot at the police. The police shot back. One police fell. Shadow smirked and ran off.
Sonic came next. He had the ring in his hand, caught it then spun to the police, knocking everyone out. He ran off towards Mist and Shadow.
Mist dazed her blue eyes at the two hedgehogs. She then lit them up. She smirked a smile. then flicked her black tail. She stood up from kneeling. She winked at Sonic. "Nice." then walked off.
Sonic had wide eyes. Shadow chuckled. Sonic punched Shadow in the arm. Shadow punched harder, sending Sonic flying. Mist turned. she had her pistol aiming past Shadow's foot. She shot right by his foot. Shadow jumped a little.
"Knock it off," she snapped. "Come on. We have a day to make it out."
Sonic and Shadow followed.
"What do you mean 'make it out'?" Sonic asked.
Mist stopped, turning to him. "Alive." She threw him a pistol. "Careful with that." And they walked off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the three walked, they came to a dark alley. Mist walked in. She knew her way. This was one of her favorite spots.
"Where are you going?" Sonic asked, sounding freaked out. Shadow chuckled and walked after Mist.
"Hey! Wait up!" Sonic ran slowly towards them. Mist felt his nervousness.
She turned. "Calm down, you might attract the gang."
"What gang?" Sonic said loudly.
Mist laid her ears down, glaring her eyes annoyed. Five or six guys came down from the other alleys.
"That gang," she told him. Sonic stared at the strange people. Each of them had a smirking smile on their face.
"Ready to die?" one of them asked, holding up a fairly sharp knife.
Mist held her pistol up and shot about 3 of them. Shadow shot one of them.
The leader of the gang only laughed and shot his gun at Mist. He barely got her arm. She growled and tackled him, knocking the gun out of his hand. Shadow shot a couple more of the gang, while Sonic watched in disbelief.
Mist slapped the Leader about 3o times. The leader struggled under her weight then she stood up and shot him in the head. The leader blacked out.
Sonic had a "O_O" on his face. Shadow rolled his eyes.
"Let's go," Mist said, walking past them, then she stumbled to the ground, putting her right hand on her left arm. She took her hand off her arm, seeing blood. She laid her hand back on her wound. She fell to the ground.
"Mist!" Sonic exclaimed, kneeling down next to her.
"Go! Protect Kaitlynn. I'll be with you," Mist ordered.
Shadow shook his head. He scooped her up into his arms once again. Sonic narrowed his emerald green eyes. He stood up and ran with Shadow.
Mist, again, fell into complete darkness. Pain stabbed her like a needle. She gasped in pain as Shadow ran. He soothed her. He sped into greater speed. Mist couldn't see or hear anymore. She fell into a coma and hoped she wouldn't wake up.

Chapter Nine
When Mist woke, she was in a bright room. With familiar voices. Am I dead? she wondered. She opened her eyes a little more.
"Wow! She's alive!" exclaimed a newer voice. It sounded older than Tails.
"Of course she is, Yasmin! Mist won't ever die, as long as she has my DNA." the voice of Tails spoke up.
"Shut up. Let's see if she'll talk." Sonic's voice calmed Mist down.
Mist blinked, staring at her friends. Wait, they weren't her friends. And where was Shadow? Mist had to kill him to be able to succeed. Something was ringing, flicking one of her ears, she reached for her phone. Pain struck her arm like a needle. Tails stepped up and got it for her. He answered it.
"Who are you?" he asked.
Mist glared her eyes. "Give me it." Tails gave the phone to Mist.
"Have you done it yet?" the voice asked.
"No, Dr. I'm sorry, but I can't find him. I got shot in the arm because of him!" Mist growled.
Tails and who it seemed to be Yasmin stared at her with wide eyes. Tails flicked his tails. Yasmin glared her amber eyes.
"He did not! It's your fault!" Yasmin snarled.
Mist ignored the little brat. "Anyway, where can I find him?"
"Somewhere in the forest. He's talking with someone in a..cabin?" the voice paused then went on, "Get out of Tails', the other kid's, and Sonic's sight. Go kill Shadow now!" Then h hung up.
Mist put her phone down gently. Pain still struck her. She closed her eyes tightly, thinking they would leave her in peace.
"Come on, she wants rest. Let's go," Sonic finally said the magic words to Mist. Tails sighed heavily. Yasmin said nothing more, and the three left Mist alone. Mist opened her eyes. She was alone. She got of the stupid dress she was wearing and put on her clothes. She ignored every single pain she felt in her arm. Mist went out the window with he phone and everything else.
She leaped to the ground and ran. She got in the forest at sonic speed. She found the cabin. She stopped and listened.
"But Shadow, Mist will kill you. She told me before," Kat's voice spoke up. Mist perked her ears to the door.
"Kat, I can defend my own self," Shadow snapped.
"Yeah, I know. But can't you let me help you?" Kat asked.
Shadow sighed. "Mist is at the hospital. It's not like she can sneak out and kill me now in this cabin."
Mist stopped listening and busted the door opened. She held up her pistol at Shadow. She flicked her black tail. "Wrong Shadow. I can sneak out the window and kill you right now. Kat will have to step back."
Kat did as Mist told her too. Mist's eyes told Shadow a dark secret. He glared his red eyes then smiled slyly. He walked up to Mist. Putting his hands around Mist's waist. He leaned forward and kissed Mist. Mist widened her icy blue eyes then closed them, dropping the pistol. She kissed Shadow back.
Kat stared in disbelief. Then smiled and left the two alone.
"What the hell are you doing?" she demanded, glaring at him.
"Kissing you," he answered slyly. He swept her off her feet. "I know you want to kissed me all through the killing."
Mist swished her tail, blushing. “Damn you are good.” Dr. would be really angry with her if she loved Shadow instead of hating Shadow. She shrugged and kissed Shadow once again.
