It was down to Gacy, Dahmer and Bundy. Gacy and Dahmer preferred little boys (Can we say Michael Jackson?). PLUS Bundy looked like your average everyday citizen. He looked like one of my friends does, so the fact that he looks normal, and people think he's normal is what scares me!

For me it was down to Manson and Bundy. Bundy is uber creepy and prayed on young women. BUT hes dead, so not as scary. Manson on the other hand is still alive and is also uber scary and done some gruesome stuff (brainwashed people to do it). bathory was forever ago, so not scary. the moors murders were in a dif country and one of them is dead. ed gein, gross!, but dead. dahmer and gacy went after boys and are dead, also. so, not scary.

Ted Bundy is scarier because he looks the least obvious. The others all look scary in the physical sense, but these girls trusted Bundy because he looked normal. and thats whats scary about him.

Manson is scary in the sense that he had power over lots of other people that he brainwashed. But he never actually killed Sharron Tate and those people. He just gave an order.
Bundy lured his victims in a false sense of security. They didn't know their fate until it was too late. The same goes for Gacey and Dahmer.

But I lived in Chicago after I lived in Nashville and they killed him two years before I moved there, THEIR ALL SCARY!

After I take out Gacy & Dahmer because they only killed males, manson because he targeted famous people, bathory because she only killed young virgins (apparently), the ripper because he killed prostitutes, that leaves me with bundy, gein, deSalvo, and the moors. I think the way the moors killed their victims is the worst, so I pick them.

Jack the ripper. No ones know he is or was and if you can't know a persons other aspects of personality, their acts are all that's there and the Rippers acts, mighty gruesome.

this was the last of the true serial killers of L.A. i was a child of six when "THE NIGHTSTALKER" was on the news every morning, noon adn night. he targeted homes near freeway on-ramps. WHOA! way to close to home for me! the nightmares have gotten less frequent but i still get them.

In fairness none of them look scary, it was what they did (not manson) that scares people!!
They all just look like friendly people, which is why they were never really suggested as the killers at the time!

I read about him my senior year in high school and it literally gave me nightmares. I have a very close friend who is a homosexual male and when I read what Dahmer did to his victims it just made me scared for my friend and all other young men that could become the target of a copycat or even more sadistic killer.

Non scares me, i find them all fascinating, altough Bathory, i dont even know if she has a place here. Most of it was fiction what she did, and its known that her politically enemies fabricated the stories about her or played them high. So she´s more the victim of politicans and there wifes.

Jack the Ripper, naw, a fascinating subject. But Charles Manson, ok, that was sick in a interesting way, how he programmed his followers. *sigh*

My dad used to be the meter-reader for his house just before Gacy got caught. He was only about twenty at the time.

It makes me wonder sometimes how close he ever came to being a victim, though my dad is a pretty big dude with a macho tough guy attitude, so who knows. Maybe he wasn't Gacy's type.
