I think it ruins the purpose of the show to bring in real monsters. The point was that it was an exciting, kooky mystery with no real scares. The mystery's the whole reason I started watching the show in the first place. When you make the monsters real, there IS no mystery! Just monsters to fight. Turning your teen sleuths into demon hunters just doesn't transition well.

I loved it when they finally began to encounter mysteries that weren't caused by villains trying to fool people. It made the "paranormal investigation" angle of their detective work finally pay off. I find creepy supernatural mysteries and "real monsters" fascinating. However, I do think it best for -most- of their cases to turn out the classic, goofy way they always did--with a guy in a monster suit, or something along that line! XD
