Angel's probably a little older than Mimi's age because we know she has full-blown AIDS as opposed to HIV, which takes a couple of years to progress. I would agree that Angel is in her low twenties. Mark and Roger are probably in their mid-twenties, since Jonathan said they are out of college, and Maureen is probably about the same age, judging by Mark's "Not my bar mitzvah!" comment in the movie. I can't see thirteen-year-old Mark being friends with people who are a great deal older or younger. I would say that Joanne is a little older than that, however, because in the musical song "We're Okay", she clearly had a lot of responsibility, and someone fresh out of college wouldn't be that high up in a law firm. When it comes to Collins, however, I totally disagree with the previous answer. Collins said he was expelled from MIT--not fired, and the way he said "teaching gig" sounded like it was a new think. I think he went to MIT to get a more advanced degree or find someone to finance further study (hence the guys saying "You struck gold at MIT!"), and only decided to teach when he couldn't find anything else. Even in Santa Fe, it sounded like he wasn't a huge fan of teaching and hadn't chosen it as anything other than a last resort. I would say he's in his late twenties, maybe thirties, but no more than that.
