PSP Question

Stuck on Patapon - Make it rain

I've already got the Don Drum and the Rain Juju but when i go to the desert it doesn't teach me the song. I know the rhythm is don dondon dondon but i can't play that unless the game teaches it to me first. Is it a glitch in the game or is there something else i need to do?
