This is so hilarious. You get the common Pokemon, but they are shiny. Whereas I get the rare Pokemon, but they are not shiny. Kinda evens out, doesn't it?

I know right....... Mine will take days to get the one I want, yours will take days to get them shiny......

Honesty time:

Truthfully I didnt catch them as shinies. I got bored. Though I began to dig into it once I found a Nidoran Male in the grotto and I got to a total of 1791 tries (which I know is only an 1/8 of the percentage) and I was getting curious. If you know my past, when I started playing pokemon red, the first pokemon I caught on my own was a Nidoran Male, so thus I had to get it shiny, watchog (got to 300 somthing tries) seviper (200 something tries) and clefairy (10 tries XD) is a totally different story. Though it is true shinies do come easily. Back to the point. Well I went digging into serebii.net and figured out that we have been wasting out time. For here is serebii's quote.

'Pokémon in the Hidden Grotto cannot be shiny and the contents are set when regenerated, they cannot be soft reset. Natures of the Pokémon, however, are soft-resetable' ~Serebii.net

Ive grown a fondness to Nidoran Male. I always had one in HG SS Red Blue Yellow Crystal Gold Silver and Pearl.

Yeah...... How many hours did you waste? For watchog I wasted 1 1/2 seviper 3/4 nidoran is about 4 so now 6 and 1/4 hours wasted...... About a fourth of the day.......

I probably wasted about 8-10 hours....

I trolled the champion. I sent out my weak Ampharos and it was killed immediately, which paralyzed Iris' Aggron. then I sent out Magneton and used Supersonic XD It kept either hitting itself or being paralyzed. I almost killed the thing with a lvl 34 XD

Well I was thinking starting with the Unova Dex. So we would simply list all the ones we havent caught. From that we trade amoungst eachother till we are missing the same ones then split the ones we both are missing so we only have to do half of them. Its still registering them with only doing half the work. Sounds nice?
