Paganism Question

What does it mean to you?

The more I get involved in the pagan community (both online and out there in the "real world"), the more I come to realize how interpretive it all is.

So, for the Wiccans out there (or anyone who follows the Rede, really) what does the phrase 'an' harm ye none, do what ye will' mean to you specifically?

For me, it just means "don't go out of your want to intentionally, greatly harm someone" whether that be mentally, emotionally, spiritually ect. I say 'greatly' and 'intentionally' because I think it's physically possible to live without hurting someone in some small way, or accidentally. We all tell white-lies, or bump into people, or hurt their feelings by thinking without speaking.

Well for me specifically it means that you can do everything you want. (living life in freedom) but do not harm any others. (meaning for me not only physically but also mentally)
But there are always exceptions which makes it pretty hard to explain.
What does it mean to you bri-marie?

For me it means that as long as you're not intectionally hurting anyone (physically, emotionally, mentally) then you can do whatever you want to do
personally to me, that doesn't mean that you cannot defend yourself, but it means don't start it, fight fire with fire, or take "an eye for an eye" approach
