I'm asking because I'm not sure if his fanbase is as big as Regina and Rumple's or if it would just be like when Graham and Cora died and people just go on about how much they miss them but the show still stays just as popular.

He would be missed but Regina is far more popular. Plus if they bring Rumple back, that's a bonus for fans, not me, but the majority. It would mainly be like Graham and Cora i think.

What? So Hook can't be a majorish or popular character? Okay. The title covers a broad spectrum of characters, which can include Hook, I believe.

I don't think the drop would be as huge as if they killed Regina or actually killed Rumple, but the question is: Do you think the ratings would drop? And my answer is yes. Hook does have a fan base and I do think some of them would stop watching. I would be greatly disappointed if they flushed his potential down the drain like that, and I may stop watching for a little while, but I would eventually get back into it because I can't start something and not finish. lol.

It would be quite immature of fans to stop watching just because a character dies. If it were Ruby that died, I would still watch the show. He isn't as popular as Regina or Rumpel (maybe some others from what i've seen)

It would loose some ratings but not as many as if Rumpel or Gina died.

I'm a little indifferent about this. But I think that they may not lose a WHOLE lot of viewership because REAL fans will continue to watch with or without him. But at the same time those who aren't real fans may not keep watching, which doesn't make sense to me.

If I had to guess I say that Hook is probably the third most popular character on the show as of now, so yes they would lose ratings. Do I think it would be enough to get the show canceled? No, but it would definitely be enough of a drop to make the writers think twice about killing him.

He is like the others who died.....
