Of the two this seems the most likly but I also think that Rumple's love FOR Henry could put him in harms way or even cause him to die. So not Henry's actions but his own. Just a thought.

Dear God, I sure hope so ->

I hope it won't be one of those situations where Rum will die protecting Henry :(

I just hope Rumple breaks his promise to kill the boy. Even if Neal doesn't want him in his life, Rumple could still have of piece of Neal in Henry. I think Rumple already cares for Henry, he just doesn't want to admit it.

The other one is an interesting theory.
What I thought was, since Rumple heard that prediction, he will try to kill Henry, which will drive Baelfire away from him, and that will be his undoing. Hope he thinks things through.

I think that Rumple will live but everyone he loves and everything he cares about will be destroyed. His whole life will be ruined and he will have to live through that.

Rumple interpreted it as meaning Henry would kill him, so strongly that it seemed obviously it should really be interpreted differently. This was my guess from the start.
