I don't see why not... It started going when Belle kissed him. And Emma broke the curse when she kissed Henry, so parental love works.

Unless it only works between a male and a female.

Since Belle was only ever able to affect Rumple's appearance and not fully break the Dark One Curse, I don't think a father/son kiss would work either. TLKs don't seem to work on that curse.
