I've seen that theory floating around for awhile but I personally don't really think so. Despite his Storybrooke persona, I'm not so convinced he's a bad guy. People have a tendacy to be the opposite of there FTL character in Storybrooke in some ways (but not at there core). For example: Charming is couragous while David is more of a coward.

There was a line he said to Mary Margaret in 1x06 which I always felt it was a huge hint at who his character might be: "By never doing what's expected, keeps life interesting." Which makes me think his FTL always had something expected of him (A Prince perhaps?). I think he might be the Frog Prince but who knows.

Who's Blue Beard?

Bluebeard is a fairy tale character from Bluebeard. He gets married and tells his new wive she can't go into a certain room. Curiousity gets the better of her and she does. In the room she finds torture devices. The room was used to torture and kill his previous wives. He is kinda a womanizer and a murderer.

That is what I know about the tale. I have never actually read all of it and there are several versions of the tale.

I thought maybe he was the whale from Pinnochio but probably not though, cause I think everyone so far are people not any animal.
