Once Upon A Time Question

Why do people call Emma x Neal, "Swanthief"?

I've heard "Swanfire", and I get that, because it's the two names mashed together, but Swanthief is just Emma's name and thief. Is it referencing Emma and Neal's past?

I'd say it's because Emma stole the car Neal had already stolen before :D

Yeah it's a reference to his occupation when they met, because at they time (before we knew he was really Beafire) there was no good way to meld Neal Cassidy and Emma Swan. Also I think the parallel to Swan Queen was attractive to a lot of fans. (Swan + Regina's occupation). I do prefer Swanfire as a shipname though.

As far as I can understand the ship name Swanthief happened before we found out Neal's true identity and then Swanfire came in when it was revealed that Neal was Baelfire.
