In the begginning why cant Sakura like Naruto? (Really cuz Naruto is pretty protective)

Sakura can't like Naruto because he's dumb and an idiot. (This is what she thinks NOT ME!!!) Naruto is not cool and he gets in trouble a lot. PLUS She likes Sasuke 200%. It's impossible to like Naruto now. She couldn't stand for Naruto's stupidity. He's stupid but stronger than his old self. Sakura also knows that Hinata likes Naruto. She thinks that it is impossible to like Naruto because there was a person who risk their own life to save Naruto's life(HINATA :D) Hinata understands the hardships Naruto had to overcome and the painful memories he had. Sakura would never understand what happened to Naruto when he was little and how other people treated him in the past. But Naruto changed. Naruto is so reckless that he would risk his own life to save someone else or his friends. Naruto wouldn't care how much he got injured. Naruto just want to save his friend/like a brother, Sasuke. Sakura thinks Naruto as an idiot friend who is strong-willed and reckless. Sasuke is cooler than Naruto but he went emo. She wants to help Sasuke by ending his reckless actions. PLUS Naruto is a pervert to Sakura.

It is because Sakura likes cool guy like Sasuke did.. hehe..Naruto looks like a dumb in front of her eyes.. :D

The others make good points, Sakura doesn't know the life of being alone, or what it is like knowing that you are the only thing keeping a monster at bay. (As a kid) Naruto wasn't really allowed in any stores because no one wanted a monster near there merchandise, so do you really expect him to be allowed in a library. I have know doubt that when every he tried to study their were people always keeping from doing it(Because, as they've stated) most people believed, if the demon fox kid were to become a ninja, that it would mean great danger for the village. I bet eventually he just gave up on the studying side of the academy. But this is also what pisses me off about Sakura. For someone so intelligent, and usually who has full control of Naruto, why didn't she ever SCARE HIM INTO STUDYING. She'd have to worry about him less, and it might give him an even better edge in battle than just pure power. But no, hitting him all of the time works just as well(NOT). However, as we've noticed, through both of the series', their bond of friendship has grown a lot! She tolerates him more, and defends him more than anyone else(maybe except Hinata) Even to Sasuke! That's what really shocked me, she stood up for Naruto against Sasuke. I don't know why but doesn't anyone get the feeling that she's growing feelings for Naruto, but hides them behind her obsession over sasuke. Everytime they get close, somehow sasuke's name comes up. I don't know if that it is just me, but I can't help but think that this current Ninja war will answer a lot. Somehow, sakura is going to be watching naruto and sasuke fight and they're both going to be badly injured to the near point of death, and she'll have to decide who to save, and it will probably be the one her heart truly belongs to. (LETS HOPE SHE'S NOT A BITCH, AND LET NARUTO DIE AFTER EVERYTHING HE'S DONE FOR HER LOL) I'll be honest I'm a Narsaku fan. But if ended up with Hinata that would be cool too :).(If he did end up with Hinata, it's probably because Sakura jumped in the way of one of Naruto's jutsu's to save Sasuke...that would piss me off, and for once, I'd be glad she's gone. Naruto might be an idiot, but he doesn't have any brain problems. So he Can learn, if someone would just show him how through love and strictness lol)
(Sorry for it being so Long, and hey this is my opinion, so if you disagree i'd like to hear why, because you might know something that I don't...and I don't want to be blurting stuff out if I don't even have the full story..)

in the very beginning she only liked Sasuke 1st bcuz of his looks, she and ino always talked about sasuke being the hot and cool guy but what if sasuke wasnt there 2 begin with ? then Naruto may have been the 1st choice after some missions together
