Haven't written an article on Fanpop in a while.
Hullo, Fanpop's Music Club. Welcome to a brand new article! From me.
What am I talking about today? Skrillex. You know, the former brostep artist who moved to producing stuff like pop, future bass, and hybrid trap? The producer of 'Face My Fears,' from the last Kingdom Hearts game?
Yes. That guy.
I've heard that he's coming with a new album.
Here are my wants for the album (if this rumour is true.):
1. A little bit of dubstep tracks in his album. Just a little bit please.
Since 2014, the decline in dubstep, Skrillex has been moving away from said genre to do pop and hybrid trap music. Some say that it's his management team; others say that dubstep was declining at that point. Some even say he wanted to be trendy. The world may never know about his transition.
He has been moving to house genres, by collaborating with Boys Noize under the side project 'Dog Blood.' He's releasing stuff from said project as well.
A metalstep collaboration with Sullivan King is a plus!
2. Some future bass.
Skrillex has been dabbling in the trap subgenre, from 'Favor' by Vindata (nothing like that again 😬😓) to his well-liked 'Face My Fears.' Maybe a collaboration with Illenium or Marshmello. Or a collaboration with Slushii.
3. A dubstep track with that 'Summit' vibe.
You remember 'Summit' with Ellie Goulding? I want a track like that again. For once. Maybe with some future bass influences. It gives that vibe, you know. I can't really describe it tbh. Kinda relaxing.
Tbh, Virtual Riot is the king now 😅
Wonder if Skrillex will ever dethrone him?
But that's all I have for today on the dubstep artist. What are your thoughts on this? Lemme know in the comment section below. I'm CokeTheUmbreon/M4RSH4DOW.
Signing out :)
Me: Wait, what are you... ?
Sean: *presses self-destruct button*
*explosion*
Me: Well shit...
