Okay, so this answer is just copy and pasted from the "Can you tell me why" question, because it's basically the same question.

My favorite band is definitely Nightwish.

First of all, I love their genre! Each album of theirs has evolved and sounded very different from their previous ones, but they've always kept their rock/metal sound. They began as very Power Rock/Metal (depending on the album) with creative uses of the keyboards and slowly progressed into mostly Symphonic Metal. What I love most about it though, is the way the orchestras and the guitar riffs trade off and actually fit together extremely well. One second they could be having a heavy guitar solo and the next second they could be having a children's choir singing, and the music actually flows that way. Another thing I love about their genre is their former front woman, Tarja's, opera-like vocals. A lot of people often  complain that her voice didn't fit the genre, but what I find amusing about it is most of the people who complain don't even like opera to begin with. (Not to mention Tarja is technically not even real opera. *facepalm*) I personally love operatic sopranos, and to me having her vocals mixed with my favorite genre is like a piece of heaven. <3 And although she was kicked out of the band after their album Once (my favorite album of all time) and was replaced with a very non-operatic vocalist, I admit her voice would have overpowered the amazing orchestras in their latest album Imaginaerum (my second favorite album of all time), while their new singer, Anette, sort of "blends in" with the orchestras and is better suited with her voice.

Secondly, I love all their cover songs. They've done a cover of Walking in the Air, Gary Moore's "Over the Hills and Far Away", Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction", and even The Phantom of the Opera because of Tarja's vocals, and many other songs I can't even think of right now.

Thirdly, the song-writing is genius. Every song that they have honestly to me sounds insanely superior to most other bands. "Open thy veins for my venom, kiss the cobras with thy twisted tongue, so shalt thou join the emryrean circus where beggars mourn and seraphs dance. In this twilight cathedral, shall I wed thee, O Bride of the Netherworld!", "Dressed as one a wolf will betray a lamb", "Departed by the guillotine of death, I received a letter from the depth, the dream of my lover it carried inside. Caressed by the sharpest knife, I asked you to be my wife, rays of the setting sun were my tears wept upon promises undone" are some examples.

Needless to say, all 8 of their studio albums (I count Over the Hills and Far Away) are in my top 15 albums of all time.

This is one of my favorite songs with Tarja. Her voice is beautiful. <3

My Chemical Romance
For me. My Chemical Romance is my life.
I've always told myself that I can't let a band take over my life, but I couldn’t help myself but let these guys snap those gates.
Okay, firstly. I know everyone will say that their favorite band is talented. But when I say this about them, I totally mean it. Gerard has the most amazing voice.
And I fucken love thier looks. Lol. But true. They have the most amazing hair! It changes every every album
I think another thing, one of the best things is how much they care for the fans. They care for their fans like they are their kids. They have saved lifes of millions, and I find that so freaken amazing, just by their music they make. You might of heard by fans about how the save lifes and everything. Their song 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' was telling how its okay not to be happy every moment of your life, theres gonna be shit going on, but your gonna make it threw life.
I would die to be one of their wifes *__* But, I cant. Would be amazing though.

Usually mine varies, but only one band could change that. That is Panic! at the Disco.

Only they could use the most perfect music with the perfect voice and perfect lyrics in a way that only people who know what real music is could ever understand. They dont need to be on the latest gossip magazine to get their music out there. They dont need glamour or good looks (even though they dont look that bad XD) to sell their music. All of their songs make my family go bizerk. It makes me sad that they cant recognize good music like i can XD. Their music is what keeps me sane. I cant beleave anyone who say that they are horrible. My wedding song is gunna be ALWAYS. Its a beautiful song.

Within Temptation

First and foremost, Sharon. I love Sharon so much. She just seems like such a lovely person and she's so adorable. And her stage presence is amazing and very energetic. She seems just as excited to be on the stage as we are to be in the crowd. I also really admire the fact that she said she'd never go nude to break into the American market. Sharon is just the best.

In relation to energetic performances; they are awesome live. I haven't gotten a chance to see them live myself (I've got tickets to a fall show) but I've seen some YouTube footage. Sharon sings just as amazingly live as she does on the CD's. The guitarists are always amazing. And again Sharon's stage energy is stellar; she's always moving around (making sure each side can see her) or jumping up and down or doing that crazy-cool wrist twirl she does. And she usually invites people to sing along.

Another thing I really love about Within Temptation is the fact that they are willing to experiment, and under the same band name. When bands change up their style a lot they tend to create a second or sub group. WT went from their orchestral/ballad style to a heavier rock style, hell, they even incorporated rap into one song. And they were brave enough to do it under the same name.

And I honestly love every song they make. There's not one that I hate. Even with the style change. I love both styles in their own way for different reasons. I love the Mother Earth era so much because of how enchanting and beautiful it was. But then I really love the newer stuff because it's heaver and really fun to listen to.

Overall, in terms of the songs, I just love the lyrics so much. They are meaningful and not trashy. They tell a story, I like being able to visualize the song in my head. Among my favorite lyrics are "Because my child, this not our farewell this is not our farewell." "Ancient spirits of the forest made him king of elves and trees." and "The choirs have awoken left our words unspoken remember you as long as I can." And that doesn't even put a scratch on the amount of wonderful lyrics the band has. I could sit for hours just reading the lyrics. Heck, I've even made a series of fanfictions based on the lyrics.

With the lyrics brings in another topic; Within Temptation doesn't need 'shock value' lyrics to get an audience. Don't get me wrong, I do love myself an explicit song (in lyric and/or theme) or two but I have a really high degree of respect for bands who don't use it. In like 2007 when I was only maybe 11 or 12 years old I really appreciated having a band that I sing along to in front of my parents and that I could play in school without getting a hard time for it. Sharon, Robert, and the others don't need a boat-load of cussing to tell a story. In Frozen and Jane Doe, they didn't need a mess of f-bombs to portray anger. And I think that's super awesome.
