When did you found your true music genre?

It was five years ago when I first entered high school.

I discovered bands like Within Temptation and Children of Bodom and since then I became a Metalhead.

Last summer. I started out listening to a bunch of symphonic stuff, then as the summer went on and school started I began to listen to a greater variety of metal genres.

I liked Lady GaGa, Owl City etc. but I didn't like this genre very much. Two years ago (December) I've heard one slow song (very beautiful) and I listened to several other songs by this band (Paramore). I found out they're awesome!!! And my another fave bands... I was watching TV and there was one song I liked but I didn't know what is it and it was Nightwish's 'Nemo'. When I told my father I like it he told me I should listen to Evanescence because it's something like Nightwish...

i descovered rock when i was 13 and saw the movie 'the runaways' and i stuck with rock ever since :) well with a fue exeptions :D i recomend the film :D

I was 13 and this is Symphonic Metal. I am 18 now and I think I know almost all of them.

Yes! Any kind of hard music, I'm okay with soft stuff but if its harder, I'll feel better.
I grew up listening to metal, my dads a true metal head. He loves KISS, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Poison all that 80's stuff. I grew up listeing to that and I just love it. Nowdays, I listen to anything, but I love punk music. I discovered Green Day when I was about 10 and that made me get into all punk. My favorite is My Chemical Romance, I love them..

2 years ago, when I listened the album Elephant from The White Stripes.

It was a couple years ago, so I was 13. I fell in love with Gaga, so I knew I loved pop/disco/dance. But I also started listening to bands like Black Sabbath, Queen, and Led Zeppelin and I fell in love with classic rock.
